Chakras with Michelle C. The information I provide will give you the opportunity to make small changes in your life that in turn will create larger positive changes over time.

Yoga • AromaYoga • Chakra Readings • Intuitive Treatments 🌿

Exploring the body, essential oils, energy, and the ordinary practices that help us notice what matters. Through my Chakra readings I bring through channeled guidance from your higher self, either directly through conversation or through my chakra readings or a combination of both. I have done readings for hundreds of clients during the

past 20 years and have witnessed remarkable changes. Some began as small kernels of information as seemingly innocuous as changing the colour of the clothes you wear to changing jobs and what I am certain of is that your higher self wants you to be as happy as humanly possible and will work cooperatively with you to achieve this goal. Sometimes we just need a little clear guidance from an authentic source and a gentle hand and I would be honoured if you would allow me to be that source to enable you to be the best possible version of yourself in this lifetime. 🌿 Friday AromaYoga — 9am

Tomorrow we'll be working with Fennel — a beautiful aromatic plant with a long history of use in food, traditional medicine and aromatherapy.

Physically, Fennel has long been associated with the digestive system, which in our practice also brings us to the Solar Plexus Chakra. Energetically, Fennel has some interesting associations with movement and completion — something it has given me quite a bit to think about this week.

Not pushing ourselves forward or trying harder.

The quieter kind of movement that happens when something is given somewhere to go — a breath, a thought, a feeling, a conversation, even a part of the body that's been asking for a little attention.

Through aroma, breath, yoga and a few moments of reflection, we'll explore that idea together.

You don't need to be flexible.

You don't need to know anything about essential oils.

And you certainly don't need to arrive feeling fabulous. 😊

Just come as you are. We'll begin there.

🌿 Monday Evening Yoga tonight at 6pm

Tonight we'll begin with our familiar Hatha practice, moving, stretching, strengthening, and giving the body a chance to arrive.

Then we’ll change the pace.

We’ll finish with a little taste of Yin, using support and spending a little longer in a few familiar shapes.

Not stretching harder.
Just giving the body time to respond.

Next Monday our five-week Spring Hatha & Yin series begins, so tonight is a lovely place to start if you're curious, new to yoga, or haven't been on a mat for a while.

You don't need to be flexible.
You don't need to know anything about Yin.

And yes… you are absolutely allowed to use the bolster. 😂

🌿 Monday Conversation

Monday is already happening. Put something useful in it.
I was thinking about this while getting a few things ready ahead of time.

Not because Monday needs to be perfectly organised.
Just because sometimes it's nice when Earlier You has thought about Later You. 😂

Yoga? Put it in your Monday.
Dinner already made? Even better.
Something small you know will make the day easier? Do that.

Make it easy before it gets hard.

Nothing heroic required. 💚

🌿 Meet the teachers.

This spring, there are three of us teaching at Yoga at Delaneys Creek Hall: Theresa, Michelle, and Lenora.

Three different teachers, with different experiences, personalities, and ways of meeting you on the mat.

What we share is a love of making yoga something you can actually practise in the middle of an ordinary life.

You don't need to be flexible. You don't need to know the poses, and you definitely don't need to arrive having already become calm. 😅

You just need to come as you are.

Over spring, you'll find different ways to practise with us, from moving and strengthening to slowing things right down.

🌿 Friday morning AromaYoga

Sometimes the practice is simply knowing when it’s time to unwind.

Tomorrow morning we’ll be working with the Woodfloria Relax Blend— a beautiful blend with Frankincense, Cedarwood, Lavender, Lemon, Rosemary and Cinnamon.

We’ll let the aroma settle into the room as we move, breathe and gradually slow the practice down.

Nothing to achieve.
Nothing we need to sort out.

Just a little space at the end of the week to clear the mind, breathe, relax and unwind.

🌱 A little Spring change…

Woodford Yoga Community is becoming
Yoga at Delaney’s Creek Hall.

A simpler name for the place we already know and love.

Yoga has been happening at our little hall for a long time, with people coming through the doors to move, breathe, stretch, strengthen, rest and practise together.

This Spring, we’re growing things a little.

We have three teachers, each bringing their own experience and way of teaching, along with some new and evolving classes.

Over the next few days, we’ll introduce you to Michelle, Theresa, and Lenora; share our spring classes and timetable; and make it a little easier to find the yoga that might suit you.

You don’t need to know anything about yoga before you come.

The sunflowers came home with me. 🌻

On Saturday I was lying in a field of them, laughing, surrounded by these enormous happy faces.
Sunday looked rather different.

Cleaning. Washing. Rearranging. New towels. Tiny jobs. Tiny decisions. Hours spent making things look, to anyone else, probably almost exactly as they did before. 😅

But they don't.
So much change happens like this, not in the big sunflower moments, but in the almost invisible changes and choices we make afterwards.

We rarely immediately see what those small changes are creating.
The sunflowers are now sitting in my lounge room and in the clinic, reminding me of Saturday.

And now it's Monday.

The washing still needs doing. There's work and messages and appointments and dinner and all the ordinary things that make up a life.

I can't make Monday become a field of sunflowers.
But I can bring the flowers with me. 🌻
I can put the oil burner on.
I can remember how it felt to lie in the grass and laugh.

And when Monday starts doing what Mondays do, perhaps that's enough.

And if Monday needs a little help… 🍋
Diffuse Lemon oil.

It doesn't always need to be complicated. Mx 🌻

💙 How does a white and gold flower become blue?

German Chamomile flowers are beautifully simple white petals surrounding a golden centre.

But steam distil those flowers, and something rather magical happens.
The essential oil emerges deep blue.

There is chemistry behind the magic: during distillation, compounds in the plant transform, producing chamazulene, which gives German Chamomile oil its extraordinary blue colour.

But of course, I look at that and see something else too.
🤍 White: Crown Chakra
💛 Gold: Solar Plexus
💙 Blue: Throat Chakra

Higher will.
Personal will.

Truth.
And perhaps...
freedom.

That's where we're going in Friday's AromaYoga. 🌿

💜 Lavender isn't just Lavender.

Yesterday I was talking with someone about gardens, and somehow we arrived at Fine Lavender, Lavandula angustifolia.

We talked about how this Lavender is grown at altitude and how where a plant grows matters. The soil, temperature, sunlight, water and season all become part of the conditions the plant responds to and can influence the essential oil it produces.

And she bought a bottle.
I wasn't trying to sell Lavender.
I was simply sharing something I find fascinating about the plant.

Because when we see LAVENDER written on a bottle, it's easy to forget there was once a living plant behind it.

It grew somewhere.
It adapted.
It flowered.
Someone harvested it.
And eventually, a tiny amount of that plant arrived here.

Fine Lavender is in the clinic today. Orange is available for conversation. 😎🧡💜

Civilisation itself has a Base Chakra. 😄

I discovered this again this morning when our toilet wouldn't flush properly.

We have a septic tank.

If you've ever had the experience of watching the water in a toilet bowl rise instead of disappear, you'll know how quickly everything you thought was important becomes completely irrelevant.

Every thought leaves the building except:

Please go down. 😂

And when it finally does, the immediate panic subsides. You know you still have a problem, but now you can do something about it.

You call the sewerage pump guy.

Who, at this particular moment in time, is an absolute legend. No superstar could compete. 😎

It got me thinking about the Base Chakra and the very unglamorous business of taking care of business.

Grounding isn't always bare feet beneath a beautiful tree.
Sometimes it's making sure the toilet flushes.
Civilisation itself has a Base Chakra.

And perhaps we've forgotten how much of our lives depend upon people quietly tending to it.

We've created a strange hierarchy where the things above the navel can seem somehow more important: ideas, expression, insight, purpose, and spirituality while the ordinary work of keeping a life functioning sits somewhere underneath.

"Underneath" doesn't mean "lesser."
It means foundational.
And we aren't grounded alone.

Every day our lives are supported by people we may barely notice.

Someone keeps the water moving. Someone takes the rubbish away. Someone grows and transports the food. Someone maintains the road. Someone turns up with a truck when the septic tank has other ideas. 😂

There is something deeply collective about that.
And perhaps Monday deserves a little more respect.

For so many people it's the day the motors start early, the trucks roll out, the shops open, lunches are packed, calls are made, things are repaired, people are cared for, and the practical business of life gets underway again.

Not the lesser part of life.
The foundations that allow the rest of it to happen.

So here's to Monday.
And to the people who quietly keep our worlds functioning.
Today, the Crown belongs to the sewerage pump guy. 👑😂
