Carmel’s Hydrotherapy Success 🏊‍♂️☕
There is nothing better than a workout that leaves you smiling! Carmel recently joined a new hydrotherapy group, and she was welcomed with open arms right from the very start.

The one-hour session was full of great exercise and plenty of funny interactions. You might not be able to tell from her focus because she was concentrating incredibly hard on balancing a cup of water while walking, but there was lots of laughter to be heard throughout the pool.

To wrap up a great morning, Carmel enjoyed a well-deserved coffee afterward. The plan moving forward is to make a real routine of this, reviewing a different local cafe every fortnight following her hydrotherapy sessions.

Carmel might be a little sore after all that hard work, but she is definitely not sorry! Exceptional effort, Carmel. 👍

This week Inclusive Solutions Australia attended the Aged and Disability Expo at Sea World Resort, and it was such a fantastic day.

There were so many amazing stallholders, services, and businesses all coming together with a real focus on connection, support, and community. The atmosphere throughout the event was incredible, from the live Elvis performance on stage to the raffles, photo booths, and all the great conversations happening throughout the day, it was genuinely such a fun and positive vibe.

It was also great catching up with Tamara Dunn from Knight On Call and Craig Wallace from Reliant Care, and of course jumping in the photobooth together for a few fun photos.

Events like these are such a great reminder of how important collaboration, networking, and community are within the aged care and disability sectors.

A big thank you to everyone involved in organising such a well-run and engaging event. Looking forward to more opportunities like this in the future.

Big Steps Forward: Garnett’s Budgeting Success 🛒🍲
Managing money and independent budgeting can be a challenge, but Garnett has been putting in the hard work to master these essential life skills.

Over the past three months, Garnett has been working closely with his support worker, Taalolo, focusing on practical budgeting strategies, grocery planning, and meal preparation.

All that dedication is paying off. By putting his new budgeting strategies into practice, Garnett successfully saved the money he needed to complete his grocery shop and participate in his weekly meal prep.

Taking control of your finances is a massive step toward independence, and this achievement has given Garnett a wonderful boost in confidence. Fantastic work, Garnett! We are so proud to see your skills grow week by week. 🌟👏

What an incredibly humbling and meaningful day it was to be part of the Belonging Begins With Us event hosted by Karakan for Schizophrenia Awareness Week 2026. 💚

It was truly inspiring to see the community come together in such a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive space, connecting with people who are making a real impact within the mental health sector and beyond.

Events like this are such an important reminder of the power of community, conversation, understanding, and human connection, especially when raising awareness around schizophrenia and mental health. Having strong support systems and connections around us can make such a difference, and it was wonderful to see so many services, individuals, families, and community members coming together to support one another.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by to speak with the Inclusive Solutions Australia team. We loved connecting with you all, sharing information about our supports, and being part of such an important community event.

New Beginnings: Slayter’s Work Experience at Tamborine Pet Farmstay 🐾🐶

We are so excited to celebrate a fantastic new milestone for Slayter, who has just started a weekly work experience placement at Tamborine Pet Farmstay!

Supported by his worker, Margie, Slayter is thriving in an environment that matches his passion for animals. The farmstay offers dog accommodation, grooming, daycare, and cat boarding, giving Slayter plenty of hands-on opportunities to learn the ropes of the pet care industry. 🐱✨

Slayter has been diving straight into his weekly routines, regularly walking the dogs and assisting over in the cattery. Building real-world workplace skills while doing something you love is exactly what capacity building is all about.

Exceptional work, Slayter! We are all so proud of your dedication and can't wait to hear more about your adventures with your furry friends. 🌟👏

It’s always great connecting with other providers and services within the NDIS space 🤝

A big thank you to Kismet Community for hosting today’s Ready Set Connect event at the Logan Diggers Club, a great opportunity to come together, collaborate in the sector.

It was especially valuable connecting within the Accommodation Space and other Providers who are equally focused on supporting positive outcomes for participants.

It really does take a village!🙌

It was a busy and exciting time for Carmel at Bunnings over the Easter weekend!! 🐣

Supported by her worker, Margie, Carmel was straight into her paid employment duties, managing both the Glitter Tattoo and Snow Cone stations. While she is a familiar face there every Saturday and Sunday, this past weekend was particularly special with the holiday crowds and festive spirit. 🍧🎨

Watching Carmel manage her responsibilities with such confidence is a fantastic example of independence in the workplace and her dedication to her role is wonderful to see. We are so proud of her accomplishments and the work she does in her local community - great job, Carmel! 🌟👏
