Many people seeking asylum in Australia are living in long-term uncertainty while their protection visa is being processed.

During this time, access to essential services can be limited, including healthcare.

World Wellness Group helps bridge this gap by funding medical care, GP appointments and treatment for people who would otherwise go without support.

This EOFY, your donation directly supports our work, helping us ensure healthcare is accessible for everyone who comes through our doors, regardless of circumstance.

Make a tax-deductible donation before June 30: https://worldwellnessgroup.org.au/campaign-essential-healthcare/

Our recent workshop, "A Tree of Strengths", provided a meaningful space for the Mongolian community to connect through a creative crystal tree-making activity 🌳

This session allowed participants to reflect on their migration journeys and identify personal sources of resilience while building new connections with others.

It was heartening to hear that attendees valued the opportunity to learn more about available supports, especially knowing they can access assistance in their own language through our Mongolian Multicultural Peer Support Worker.

We aim to make it easier to find help by bringing our services directly into the community. It is wonderful to see these community connections continue to grow.

A visa delay should not mean losing access to healthcare.

Thank you SBS News for shining a light on the barriers people seeking asylum can face when Medicare access is disrupted by visa renewal processes.

For people living with pain, trauma, chronic illness or mental health needs, healthcare cannot wait for paperwork.

Our EOFY Healthcare Appeal helps fund essential healthcare for people who would otherwise go without care.

This healthcare is only possible with the support of donations.

Today marks the start of Refugee Week 2026—a time to acknowledge each and every one of the million refugees who have shaped modern Australia.

At WWG, supporting the health and wellbeing of refugees and people seeking asylum is at the very heart of our work.

We thank our clients and staff—many with refugee backgrounds—for their strength, resilience, and contributions.

Let’s use this week to counter the harmful narratives spreading hate and misinformation with facts, compassion, and solidarity.

What happens when someone needs healthcare, but isn’t eligible for Medicare?

For many people seeking asylum, this is a daily reality.

Without access to Medicare, even basic healthcare can become difficult to afford. GP appointments, medical tests, medications and ongoing support can quickly become out of reach.

This EOFY, your tax-deductible donation can help us provide pro-bono medical appointments so healthcare can be accessible for everyone.
