More than just looking after nails and calluses, podiatrists are registered health professionals who help with everything from sports injuries and diabetes-related foot care to children’s growing feet, arthritis, biomechanics and mobility in older age.  This week, we’re celebrating the profession and everything a podiatrist can help you with. A great night at our Sippy Downs clinic 🙌

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Surgical Podiatry & Endorsed Podiatry CPD evening.

A big congratulations to our own Josh Taylor on a great presentation, and to Emelia our Surgical Podiatrist for sharing her knowledge and experience with everyone on the night.

A huge thank you also to OPC for sponsoring the event and providing the catering.

It was great to bring local podiatrists and health professionals together for an evening of learning, discussion and connection.

Last Friday, some of the Elite Foot Care girls swapped the clinic for a long lunch at Alex Surf Club for Women Making Waves 🌊💜

Such a great afternoon hearing from three incredible Australian sporting women — Cate Campbell, Liz Watson and Ali Brigginshaw — sharing their experiences around leadership, resilience, high performance and life beyond sport.

A great excuse to get the team together outside of work, enjoy the afternoon and hear from women who have performed at the highest level in their fields.

Why would we grind away part of a brand-new custom orthotic?

Because “custom” doesn’t stop when the device comes out of the machine.

Depending on the prescription, footwear and how the orthotic fits, we may refine the thickness, contour or specific areas of the device before it leaves the clinic.

Having onsite grinding areas at both clinics means we can manufacture and make those adjustments ourselves!

Sometimes the smallest modification is an important part of getting the final fit right.

At Elite Foot Care, we assess, design, manufacture and modify our custom orthotics right here in our Woombye clinic!

Having our own on-site orthotic lab means our podiatrists can stay involved through the entire process — from the initial assessment and scan, through to the final fit and any adjustments that may be needed.

These are both shockwave machines — but they don’t work in exactly the same way ⚡️

At Elite Foot Care, we use both radial and focused shockwave so treatment can be selected based on the individual presentation rather than using the same approach for everyone.
