Innovators and passionate artists in our industry, we always strive to give our clients the best experience. Commonly asked questions! Q- How old do you need to be for a tattoo? A- You must be 18 years old for both services. Here at Emire we require Your Photo ID (Driver's license, Passport, Proof of age card ect..) To prove you are of age. Q- How old do I need to be for a piercing? A- For any pie
rcing (Except Nipple or genital) You need to be 16 years of age without a parent/legal guardian and also need photo ID. If you are under this age your parent/legal guardian will need their ID and medicare. Some Piercings at certain ages we will not perform so please call us ahead to tell us your age and piercing you wish to receive. Q- Is there some piercings I cannot get done? A- Here at Emire we pride ourselves in our constant practice and knowledge on Anatomy. We want your piercing to heal the best and sometimes you may not have the anatomy for the piercing you want, commonly we see this with Industrial, Belly and some helix piercings. We can offer you a free consultation which we can discuss your piercing goals, jewellery style and what we feel best will heal well based on Anatomy. Q- Can I get my nipples or genitals pierced under 18 yrs with parents permission? A- Absolutely not. This is completely illegal in the state of Victoria and also very unethical and morally wrong. Q- Do you do Children Ear Piercing? We do however have an age limit and we like to keep this at 10 years and older. However we understand that some children are mature for their age and we may put it into consideration. We offer free consultations with children and parents. We explain the process of the piercing, jewellery, aftercare and why our theory and process is much safer then other places! We actually commonly have parents coming to us due to our love of kids and understanding. We work super hard to make the process as fun as we can and we get a lot of kids coming back giving us thank you cards and chocolates because they loved the experience so much! Q- I put a deposit down and want to cancel my appointment, can I get a refund? A- The point of us taking a deposit is so we can offer our time, we spend time drawing and reserve that space for you. So if you cancel and we don't get someone else in, we loose our income and that sucks. Also like any other worker, we are paid for our time drawing, even if you end up not wanting it tattooed in the end we deserve to be paid for our time. If you would like to reschedule an appointment (under certain circumstances)
we can use that deposit for that changed date so you can still keep it. However once you cancel and don't reschedule, that deposit is non refundable as that is covering our time, effort and so on. Especially in hard times like the Pandemic. You must reschedule your appointment within 2 hours of cancellation to be able to keep your deposit for the rescheduled date. But again this is only in certain circumstances. If you have any further questions please feel free to message the page! Or call us on 59052963!
