Today marks the end of Go Grey in May, but we won’t stop talking about brain cancer. It’s real, it’s devastating, and there is still so much work to do.
Before Tammy passed away from Grade 4 brain cancer (GBM), her wish was to make a difference in the lives of those affected by brain cancer by raising funds for research. She hoped that one day there would be better treatments available- or even a cure.
Through Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer, Tammy’s legacy continues. Together, in honour of Tammy, an incredible $41,176 has been raised so far for brain cancer research. But we’re not stopping there.
Tammy’s family continue to honour her by raising awareness and funds through local events, and in July my family will be joining them in spirit by taking on the 7 Cairns Marathon.
🏃♀️ I’ll be running the full marathon (42.2km)
🏃 Mark will run the half marathon (21.1km)
🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️ Our three kids will each complete a 5km event.
As Tammy was a cherished client of mine, we’re proud to be supporting Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer in her honour.

The donation link is also pinned at the top of my socials pages.
If you’d like to support us, we’d be incredibly grateful for a donation. If you can’t donate, a share of this post would mean so much and help spread awareness.
Together, we can continue Tammy’s legacy and help fund the research needed for better treatments- and one day, a cure. 🦋
