A lot of India’s work begins long before anything reaches the cauldron.

At home, she grows many of the herbs and plants she uses in her witchcraft, rituals and burning blends. But there’s only so much you can grow in a smaller garden.

That’s where the Mystic Mums farm has become especially useful.

Having more land means India can grow larger quantities of the plants she regularly works with, as well as more specific herbs that need extra room or take longer to establish. When she visits, part of the job is harvesting, drying and topping up the ingredients she’ll continue using across future rituals and paranormal cases.

There’s something nice about knowing where those materials have come from too. Some of what eventually ends up burning in India’s cauldron started months earlier as a seed in the ground.

Werribee Mansion was built in the 1870s by brothers Andrew and Thomas Chirnside as a showcase of their extraordinary wealth, prestige and success. More than 150 years later, the Werribee Park estate remains a remarkable example of Victorian architecture. From its grand buildings and bluestone walls to its sweeping archways, staircases and beautifully preserved artwork, every detail reflects the vision the Chirnside brothers had for one of Victoria’s most remarkable estates.

While we were in Melbourne investigating several paranormal cases, we stayed at Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park. Once the estate had fallen quiet, our cameraman took the opportunity to wander the grounds alone, capturing the details that make the Werribee Park estate so breathtaking after dark. Without the distraction of people, the architecture, artwork and lighting reveal a completely different side of this historic property.

As Brett explored, he repeatedly heard footsteps behind him, yet every time he stopped and turned around, there was no one there. More than once he felt a cold breeze brush the back of his neck while the air around him remained completely still. When he returned, the first thing he said was that he couldn’t shake the feeling he had been watched throughout his walk.

As paranormal investigators, we don’t treat experiences like these as proof of anything. We document them, investigate them and share them honestly, allowing others to decide what they believe.

Our investigation of the Werribee Park estate uncovered much more than this beautiful walk through the grounds, and we can’t wait to share that journey with you.

When we were contacted by a client in Melbourne who believed they had been cursed through black magic, we knew this was a case that deserved to be investigated in person.

Every investigation begins long before we arrive at the location. Before travelling to Melbourne, we spent time preparing in the same way we do before every case—gathering the herbs and tools we work with, grounding ourselves, setting our intentions, and ensuring we approached the investigation with clarity, respect and an open mind.

Beliefs surrounding witchcraft, curses and spiritual practices have existed for centuries. While some see them as folklore, others believe they can have a profound impact on a person’s life. Our role has never been to tell people what they should believe. A love jar isn’t about creating feelings that aren’t already there.

With the consent of both people in the relationship, India created this jar to help strengthen the love and connection they already share. Each herb and symbolic item was carefully chosen with a particular intention, bringing their hopes for the relationship together in one place.

The practice of placing meaningful ingredients inside a sealed jar has appeared in folk magic for centuries. Sweetening jars later became especially known through Hoodoo and rootwork traditions, where honey or sugar could represent bringing more warmth, kindness and harmony into a situation. Today, love jars have become one form of modern witchcraft ritual, often created to support affection, trust and a closer bond.

For India, consent is an important part of the work. A love spell should never be about controlling someone or changing how they feel. This jar was created for two people consciously choosing to nurture what already exists between them.

One of the biggest misconceptions about a paranormal investigation is that finding the source means the case is over.

In reality, that’s often when the real work begins.

Some haunted homes reveal everything on the first visit. Others take multiple investigations, return visits and weeks or even months of spiritual clearing before the full picture begins to emerge. Every home is different, every family is different, and every paranormal case has its own challenges.

This Sydney Harbour mansion became one of those cases. What started as a house clearing slowly uncovered something much bigger than anyone expected, reminding us that the paranormal doesn’t always exist within the walls of a home.
