💛 R U OK?Day 💛

Today at Lighthouse General Practice, we’re taking a moment to remind everyone of the importance of checking in with those around us.
A simple conversation can make a real difference. If you notice someone may be struggling, ask “Are you OK?”, listen with care and encourage them to seek support if needed.
And remember—we shouldn’t wait for one particular day. Ask R U OK? any day, because life happens every day. 💛

A special thank you! Beck for our beautiful cupcakes!

Go QLD!!! But don’t stay silent if you are worried about your friends. DV rates increase by 40% on State Of Origin nights. Look after your fellow Queenslanders! 🏉

As everyone gets ready to watch State of Origin, it’s important to remember that rates of domestic violence will spike by 40%.

This is not about the game itself.

Mixing heavy drinking with heightened emotions, in environments where women may already be at risk, can be dangerous.

There is no excuse for violence. Wherever you are and whoever you’re with, we all need to take a zero-tolerance approach.

Back your team. Enjoy the game, but whether it’s a mother, a sister, or a friend at risk — think of her today and speak up to keep her safe.

The behaviour you excuse is the behaviour you accept.
Play your part in creating a safer sporting culture.

If you or someone you love is in danger, please call 000.
