As everyone gets ready to watch State of Origin, it’s important to remember that rates of domestic violence will spike by 40%.

This is not about the game itself.

Mixing heavy drinking with heightened emotions, in environments where women may already be at risk, can be dangerous.

There is no excuse for violence. Wherever you are and whoever you’re with, we all need to take a zero-tolerance approach.

Back your team. Enjoy the game, but whether it’s a mother, a sister, or a friend at risk — think of her today and speak up to keep her safe.

The behaviour you excuse is the behaviour you accept.
Play your part in creating a safer sporting culture.

FLU VACCINES!
Flu clinics are in full swing with vaccinations recommended for everyone aged 6 months and older. Book into a flu clinic online or call reception on 35184178 with any enquiries.

FLUMIST - NEW NASAL SPRAY VACCINE!
New this year (new to Australia, has been used overseas for many years) is the option of a nasal spray vaccine for children aged 2-17. This is just as effective as the traditional injection and is extremely easy to administer. Supply is expected to be limited this year so please advise on booking if this is your preferred option. The Flumist vaccine is free for ages 2-5 but costs $25 for ages 6-17. Everyone also has the option of a free flu vaccine (needle) if they prefer.
