Communication looks different for everyone 💚

Next week is National Week of Deaf People, with International Day of Sign Languages recognised on 23 September.

At Kaloma, we know how important it is for everyone to feel heard, understood and included, whether they communicate through speech, sign, gestures, pictures, technology or in their own way.

It’s also a great reminder for all of us to keep learning new ways to communicate and connect.

R U OK? Day is tomorrow 💛

It’s a good reminder to check in with the people around us, not just tomorrow, but any day.

A simple “How are you really going?” can mean more than we realise.

R U OK?Day is tomorrow, Thursday 10 September. But check‑ins shouldn't only happen once a year.

If you've noticed a change in someone and you’re thinking about checking in, ask R U OK? - whether that's today, tomorrow, or Any Day.

Somehow we managed to miss both International Cat Day and International Dog Day this month! 😅

So we’re making up for it now, please enjoy some of the very important furry members of the Kaloma family. 🐶🐱💚

Because really, do we need a special day to show off our pets?
