🔥This Sunday🔥 Join us for a powerful morning. You will experience a gentle body awareness meditation to reconnect and drop into your body, a breathwork journey (about 30-40 mins), a sound healing journey that includes healing mantras played with harmonium, and a brief mindfulness talk, where we share tools to improve the quality of your life.

We are also building community and connecting people. Most attendees become regulars and make this session part of their Sunday's routine. After the session we go for breakfast at the local cafe Gun Cotton, where we connect, make friendships and share our experiences.

If you know anyone who might need some wellbeing in their lives, please share this event with them.

Today was the first class of our six-week program for men—a journey of self-discovery and transformation.

Congratulations to these 20 men who stepped up and chose to join this program to do the deep work on themselves.

Yoga is not just about stretching the body. Yoga is one of the oldest personal development systems ever developed, with origins dating back more than 5,000 years. It is both a science and a methodology that helps us master ourselves—our body, our energy, and our mind—so that we can find liberation.

Liberation from the limitations of the mind and body, so that we may not only be free from their constraints, but also transcend them and find union with that which exists beyond this material existence.

These men already get it!

I’m looking forward to the journey ahead.

See you all next week.

Namaste,

Cristián Trujillo

This video and post can be a bit controversial. Let me know your thoughts below :)

We live in a society that has normalised suffering.

Many forms of suffering have become so common that we no longer question them. We have stopped recognising them for what they are, believing them to be unavoidable conditions of life.

Suffering has become embedded in our culture, our habits, our institutions, and even our identities. As a result, entire industries have emerged around managing suffering through medicine, mindfulness, and other services, often helping us cope with suffering rather than addressing its real cause.

This was already written in the stars, and it was meant to happen.
According to yoga, we are in the Dark Era (the Kali Yuga), the final stage of a four-stage cosmological cycle. This era is defined in the ancient texts as a time of social, moral, spiritual, and ethical decline. Why? Because the darkness is no longer outside; it is now already within us.

In this era, society is weak, so suffering is abundant and normalised. Can you see it?

In ancient times (different eras), the level of suffering was at a completely different scale, forcing people to be more resilient, persevering, and adaptable to changing circumstances.

People accepted things and got on with life. But today? It's even difficult to accept that others have different views, don’t like us or even think differently from us.

For the same reason, in the past, to find LIBERATION (awakening, inner peace, kundalini awakening), it took greater effort. You had to go into the desert, spend time in solitude, fast, pray for years, serve your Guru for years before they would teach you anything, and do a lot of hard work.

But today, in the Dark Era (the Kali Yuga), it's so much easier. Just a little effort will do.

Having said that, this little effort can be perceived as a great sacrifice because we, as a society (myself included), are weaker in comparison to people who lived in previous eras.

We want things to be easy. We want things to be our way. We want things to happen quickly. This creates suffering—lots of suffering for many of us.

Even me saying that we are a weak society will probably trigger someone who is readying this. Creating suffering in this person (proving my point).

From a yogic perspective, much of this suffering arises from ignorance of our true nature and from our attachment to the mind, the ego, and the endless desires the mind generate.

In the video, I explain why this works and how we can make some progress towards liberation. Liberation from what or whom? Liberation from our own mind, and ultimately, liberation from ourselves—from the perceived identity with which we identify.
I hope this can give you some perspective.

If you want to learn more, or start or deepen your journey, join us at one of our upcoming events and gatherings.

I'm writing this with deep respect for all of you who may be experiencing suffering. It feels real, but ultimately, it is our own mind.

Yoga can show you a real way out.

Cristian

Why can life be so hard sometimes?

Why don’t we allow ourselves the time to rest, enjoy the moment, and do the things we enjoy?

Mostly, because we are on a mission. A mission to get somewhere. A mission that, for many men, can become a hard journey.

We men can carry a lot—not just the responsibilities and expectations of supporting our families, but also the burden of trying to become someone worthy of enjoying life. So, we tell ourselves that perhaps one day, when we retire, we can finally enjoy life.

Many men also carry regret and guilt for mistakes made in the past and for the suffering we may have caused the people we care about, our families and our children.

The problem is that we don’t speak about it.

We carry it in our minds and in our bodies. We often don’t have a space to speak openly, mostly because we don’t know how.

Men feel, and they feel deeply. The problem is that many men don’t know how to express those feelings. So they remain trapped inside, creating stress, anxiety, worry, and eventually burnout.

Many men don’t know how to deal with this pressure, so they escape through distractions, overworking, or regular drinking to relax and let go. Not all men, but many. And for some, it becomes a trap.

Finding a supportive community is key. It’s also important to learn practices that help relax the body and mind, recharge our energy, and reconnect with what is truly important in life.

If these words resonate with you, or if you know a man who might benefit from learning mindfulness practices to improve his quality of life, please let him know about our 6-Week Yoga and Mindfulness Program for Men.

Starting Wednesday 17 June, 6:00 pm–9:00 pm at Diddillibah Hall.

This is our last program for the year.

Why can be so hard sometimes? Why don’t we allow ourselves to find the time to rest, enjoy the moment, and do the things we enjoy? Mostly, because we are on a mission. A mission to get somewhere, a mission that for many men can become a hard journey.

We men can carry a lot — not just the responsibilities and expectations of supporting our families, but also the burden of trying “to become” someone who is worthy of enjoying life. So, we tell ourselves that perhaps one day, when we retire, we can finally enjoy life.

Some men also carry a lot of regret and guilt for the mistakes of the past and for the suffering we may have caused the people we cared for, our families and our children.

The problem is that we don’t speak about it.

We carry it in our mind and in our body. We don’t have a space to speak openly, mostly because we don’t know “HOW”.

Some men even accept it as “this is just the way it is” and some men deny it completely.

Men feel, and they feel deeply. The problem is that many men don’t know how to express those feelings. So those feelings (energy) become trapped in the body and can create disease.

These feelings also remain in the mind, causing worry, anxiety, stress, and eventually burnout. Most men don’t know how to deal with this, so they find an escape by distracting themselves, becoming workaholics, or drinking regularly to relax and let go of the pressure (not all of them, but many). This is a deadly trap, and many men don’t make it out.

Finding a supportive community is key. It’s also important to learn mindfulness practices that help relax the body and mind, and recharge our energy. It’s also important for men to learn to understand ourselves, other people, and the world, to reflect, and to remember what’s truly important in life.

If these words resonate with you, or if you know men who might benefit from learning mindfulness practices to improve their quality of life, please let them know about our 6-Week Yoga and Mindfulness Program for Men.

It starts this Wednesday, 17 June, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Diddillibah Hall. We meet every Wednesday for three hours to move the body, breathe, learn about ourselves, and give ourselves the time to rest and recharge. This is the last program of this year.

No experience is needed. We have the last two spots available. If you miss the first class, that’s okay — you can start the following week. And if money is an issue, we can always find a way to help you make it happen.
