This video and post can be a bit controversial. Let me know your thoughts below :)
We live in a society that has normalised suffering.
Many forms of suffering have become so common that we no longer question them. We have stopped recognising them for what they are, believing them to be unavoidable conditions of life.
Suffering has become embedded in our culture, our habits, our institutions, and even our identities. As a result, entire industries have emerged around managing suffering through medicine, mindfulness, and other services, often helping us cope with suffering rather than addressing its real cause.
This was already written in the stars, and it was meant to happen.
According to yoga, we are in the Dark Era (the Kali Yuga), the final stage of a four-stage cosmological cycle. This era is defined in the ancient texts as a time of social, moral, spiritual, and ethical decline. Why? Because the darkness is no longer outside; it is now already within us.
In this era, society is weak, so suffering is abundant and normalised. Can you see it?
In ancient times (different eras), the level of suffering was at a completely different scale, forcing people to be more resilient, persevering, and adaptable to changing circumstances.
People accepted things and got on with life. But today? It's even difficult to accept that others have different views, don’t like us or even think differently from us.
For the same reason, in the past, to find LIBERATION (awakening, inner peace, kundalini awakening), it took greater effort. You had to go into the desert, spend time in solitude, fast, pray for years, serve your Guru for years before they would teach you anything, and do a lot of hard work.
But today, in the Dark Era (the Kali Yuga), it's so much easier. Just a little effort will do.
Having said that, this little effort can be perceived as a great sacrifice because we, as a society (myself included), are weaker in comparison to people who lived in previous eras.
We want things to be easy. We want things to be our way. We want things to happen quickly. This creates suffering—lots of suffering for many of us.
Even me saying that we are a weak society will probably trigger someone who is readying this. Creating suffering in this person (proving my point).
From a yogic perspective, much of this suffering arises from ignorance of our true nature and from our attachment to the mind, the ego, and the endless desires the mind generate.
In the video, I explain why this works and how we can make some progress towards liberation. Liberation from what or whom? Liberation from our own mind, and ultimately, liberation from ourselves—from the perceived identity with which we identify.
I hope this can give you some perspective.

I'm writing this with deep respect for all of you who may be experiencing suffering. It feels real, but ultimately, it is our own mind.
Yoga can show you a real way out.
