The Knee – More Than Just a Hinge
The knee is one of the hardest-working joints in the body, yet it rarely works in isolation. Healthy movement relies on the skin, fascia, muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, bones, blood vessels and nerves working together to provide stability, movement and support.
When one layer becomes restricted or overloaded, the effects can extend well beyond the knee. Changes in the feet, ankles, calves, hips or pelvis can influence how the knee moves, while knee tension can alter the way the whole body compensates.
Bowen Technique looks beyond where discomfort is felt. By supporting the muscles, fascia, nervous system and the body’s natural balance, it encourages more efficient movement and helps the body function as one connected system.
Sometimes, helping the knee isn’t just about treating the knee—it’s about supporting everything that works with it.
