Today iftaar meeting was arranged by GIZ on the Roadmap to Commercial Biogas. SREDA Chairman and Member Secretary was there together with other stockholders such as IDCOL, Waste Concern, Practical Action, professional specialist and BBDF. Point two was how to promote BBDF as national biogas association. If BBDF can play strong role all over Bangladesh can be biogas production zone and may add value in our National Grid with Green Electricity.
All we need a healthy life and proper waste management can ensure a green environment for us.
Let's think on green living and ensure our generation a Green City Healthy City to live a healthy life.

Things are moving on the right way. As we always mention, dream is very important in out life. Today's dream will be tomorrow's reality. We are dreaming on a Green City Healthy City and finally our government is considering a Municipal Waste based Biogas project in Keranigonj, Dhaka. Thanks to PDB, Thanks to Government of Bangladesh and thanks to SHREDA and GIZ for giving this support.
20,000 tpy MSW will be treated from this plant.1.32MWh electricity and heat power will be produced from this plant. This plant also produce high quality compost about 12000-14000 tpy. All these are planning of the government.
Hope, we can see this plant very soon.
It may be mentioned that this was initiated in 2015 during ¨Progress in Biomethane Mobility¨the International Conference held in Stuttgart, Germany. Following to the seminar BBDF and GERBIO jointly worked and SHREDA support the concept of Dry Fermentation. And finally it is on the way to be implemented.

What is the difference between a village and a city?
In village, there is no waste problem, as there is no waste. The wastes are mostly consumed by domestic animals and the rest used as soil conditioner or fertilizer. But in city, everything is waste and pushing us to death!!!
Let's think about waste and waste management and ensure a healthy living for all. We must be careful. Health is wealth, and our cities are became impossible to life because of the waste and hazardous situation.

Let's work together to ensure a green city healthy city for all.

If there is a light, the darkness will be removed sooner or later. Thanks to GIZ and Government of Germany. They helped Power Department for study on Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and a team including Minister and Secretary is visiting Germany to see how do they manage MSW and convert into biogas and fertilizer in Dry Fermentation process.
We congratulate our Hon'ble State Minister Mr. Nasrul Hamid, MP,. and Mr. Anowarul Islam Sikder, Chairman SREDA and Additional Secretary and the TEAM Members for their initiative and taking further step for Green Dhaka.
Again, thanks to GIZ for their cooperation.
Very soon, we hope we can see our city will be under state of art waste management and the vehicle can be run with Green Gas.

Public Bus Service in Milan, Italy. YES, It is running by GREEN FUEL that is CNG from Biogas. Half of the country's people are driving car with CNG and others with diesel or Petrol/Octain. This is discrimination of People's Right. But, if Government extend cooperation, all Bangladesh could have CNG from Biogas and we can drive same as Italy or most of the EU member countries.
let's dream today, then we can turn it true tomorrow.

Digested are processed as Compost - the green fertilizer for the land to ensure Safe Food. While discussing I informed that they are mostly using this compost for their land. We can see the truck is loading to send out as fertilizer for the land.
Hope we can divest from Chemical Fertilizer soon and ensure our generation with Safe Food.
