Speaker Profile: Dr. Shihab Uddin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. He is a passionate multidisciplinary educator dedicated to mentoring and teaching both undergraduate and graduate students. His research focuses on drug delivery systems and nanomedicine, where he actively contributes as a Principal Investigator (PI) to advancing innovative biomedical research at KFUPM.
Dr. Uddin earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan, in 2021. Following his doctoral studies, he served as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, from 2022 to 2023. He completed both his B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. (with thesis) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh.
