Het feest dat bij de godin Holle hoort is de winterzonnewende, waarbij de terugkeer van het licht wordt gevierd. Vanuit het donker wordt het licht opnieuw geboren en zal langzaam terugkeren.

De zonnewende vindt dit jaar plaats op zondag 21 december om 16.05 als de zon het dierenriemteken Steenbok binnengaat.

De godinnen van eigen bodem wensen alle likes en volgers een 'verlichte' winterzonnewende.

Laat het oude achter je, baad je in het nieuwe licht opdat het je geluk en voorspoed in het nieuwe jaar mag brengen.

Het sprookje van Vouw Holle

Iedereen kent wel het sprookje van vrouw Holle van de gebroeders Grimm. Het gaat over een weduwe met twee dochters: een mooie, ijverige stiefdochter en een lelijke, luie dochter. De moeder hield het meest van haar eigen dochter en behandelde de stiefdochter als Assepoester.

Dit vervormde, patriarchale en moralistische sprookje van de gebroeders Grimm uit de 19e eeuw heeft veel diepere wortels dan je zou denken. Die wortels gaan helemaal terug naar de egalitaire landbouwculturen van het Oude Europa rond 5000 v. Chr. waar Holle als godin werd vereerd. Annine van der Meer schrijfster van het boek ‘ Holle en de verborgen wijsheid in sprookjes’ noemt deze egalitaire landbouwculturen het ‘Moederland ’ in tegenstelling tot het patriarchale ‘Vaderland’ waaruit het sprookje van de Grimm broeders stamt en waarin wij nu nog steeds leven.

Als je de patriarchale, christelijke lagen van dit sprookje wegneemt en de betekenis die de symbolen in het Moederland hebben eraan toevoegt, dan komt Holle hieruit tevoorschijn als een godin van eigen bodem, die ons opnieuw kennis laat maken met de oerwijsheid van onze stammoeders.

Before children speak, they sing. Before they write, they paint. As soon as they stand, they dance. Art is truly the foundation of human expression, a universal language that transcends barriers and connects us to our deepest emotions and experiences. From the moment we are born, we are drawn to express ourselves creatively, whether through sound, movement, or visual art.

Art is more than just a form of entertainment; it is a vital part of our development and understanding of the world around us. It allows us to process our emotions, communicate our innermost thoughts, and share our experiences with others. From the first time a child picks up a crayon to the moment they express themselves through dance or music, art is the vehicle through which we connect to our humanity.

This quote beautifully captures the essence of art as a foundational human impulse. It reminds us that before we learn to speak or write, we instinctively turn to creative expression to make sense of the world. Art serves as a bridge between the internal world of the individual and the external world of society, creating a space for connection, understanding, and emotional release.

Growth takes patience. What seems to take a long time in this reality is a blink of an eye when it's seen from a soul perspective. If we move too fast or spiritually bypass the pain, we miss out on the deeper lesson. So give yourself some grace and allow things to evolve at a natural pace. In that way, what grows will be rooted in strength and resilience.
