The ESGO Prevention Committee joined 300 participants at the International Colposcopy Course and Symposium in the Cappadocia region of Türkiye 🇹🇷 this weekend. 🙌

The two-day meeting featured lectures on contemporary colposcopy and cervical cancer prevention, discussions on current & future techniques in preventive gynecologic oncology, case discussions.

💜A special session on HPV and the patient voice highlighted patient advocates, including representatives from ENGAGe and ENGAGe TEENs.

The event was jointly organized by the Turkish Society of Gynecologic Oncology (TRSGO) & the Turkish Society for Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (TRSCCP) with the support of ESGO.

The ESGO Awareness Run & Walk is a favourite Congress tradition of ours! 💜🧡

ESGO and ESGO ENGAGe are extremely pleased to announce that World Gynecologic Oncology Day 2026 will be under the patronage of the European Parliament!

Patronage is a way for the European Parliament to grant its non-material moral support to select “non-profit quality events with a clear European dimension.” (Read more on europarl.europa.eu!)

This recognition and support on such a high international level is extremely meaningful and a huge step in striking down the lingering stigma around cervical, endometrial, ovarian, vulvar, vaginal and other gyn cancers.

In addition, several Members of the European Parliament will also be personally supporting our event this year. We look forward to announcing their names soon! 🙌
