We’re officially OPEN 🎉

It’s actually already been a month since we started welcoming our members who followed us from WOMADE 1.0.

Our new home, nestled at AME • a space full of soul 🩵 (your new fave coffee spot and creative hub, opening end of October), is a dream come true: the best location, filled with natural light, stunning design furniture déniché by our partner Enky …the space is just wow... honestly, we’re still pinching ourselves! 🥹💙

Ever since we opened, so much has happened already. We kicked off with a soft opening night, surrounded by beautiful design pieces, beautiful people and great conversations, celebrating with our members, partners and friends. Seeing you all in this space was the best part 🥹

Same WOMADE energy, more square meters for magic ✨

And we’re only getting started. The space keeps evolving, with new furniture and new corners on their way, because we want this to be the place where you do your best work, meet people who inspire you and leave with a little more energy than you came with.

Whether you’re freelancing from your kitchen table, building your own thing or just craving a place to belong, there’s a desk here just waiting for you.

Long time no see 🥹! So here’s a little summer recap 🤭👀

On June 30th, we moved out of WOMADE’s first home—in the middle of what was apparently Belgiums’ worst heatwave in years. But we survived. And so did the plants 🥹🌱

What followed was the beautiful messy middle: lots of deliveries, summer late nights building and creaming (and sometimes freaking out and crying), working weekends, the kids coming along for the ride… and our new home slowly taking shape.✨

You’ll also spot a little sneak peek of our amazing partners, Enky — stay tuned!
I can’t wait to properly introduce them. I truly feel like the luckiest to be surrounded by such an incredible team 💙

And at the very end of this recap: a glimpse of the temporary AME café (the official one opening soon) 👀 we created for Brussels Design Week, kicking off this Thursday, September 24th.
In case you missed it, our new home AME is its official Hub 🩵 — which feels very full circle, as Brussels Design Week is where this whole journey first began.

AFTER 3 MONTHS, WE’RE FINALLY BACK 👀💙

The past three months have been a little different around here.

We closed our doors, packed up our things, said goodbye to our old space and spent these past weeks building what comes next for WOMADE.

There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes — moving, renovating, planning, imagining… and, honestly, a little bit of chaos too. 👀

But we’re finally getting ready to welcome you into our new home.

Meet our WOMADE of the month: Janneke Kielman ☀️

Legal counsel by day, curious mind 24/7.

With a background in EU and international law, she now works remotely for the tech company 8vance, focusing on privacy rules and the AI Act — where every challenge feels like solving a puzzle and connecting the dots.

Driven by a strong sense of justice, Janneke is especially interested in how international policies and legal systems shape the world we live in today, particularly around trade, sustainability and corporate accountability.

Since arriving in Brussels 14 months ago, and joining WOMADE 4 months ago, she’s found a community she describes as open, social and refreshing — especially as her first experience in a women-focused environment within tech.

Curious, reliable, practical — and always with at least 2 coffees a day ☕️
