🦎 Spinal Health 🦎
The thoracic spine is the more funky name for your “mid back”😎
Its the part of your spine where your ribs attach - to protect your vital organs like your heart and lungs. The large number of ribs attaching here, can often limit the mobility in your thoracic spine, causing restrictions.

The problem is: this may then overload other vertebrae, as these other vertebrae need to do 1) their own functions + 2) the functions of those that are restricted!
= a common example that causes low back pain
= the biomechanical load in your low back is too high, because of restrictions elsewhere, causing pain.

Why are we so successful in treating back pain? Because we approach the body as a whole, which means we will be able to find these restrictions and improve the range of motion in those that need it.
