Something I can’t overemphasise enough as a Breathwork facilitator is SELF CARE.
Many of us don’t even know what self care feels like. Many of us have been taught to believe that self care is selfish.
Self care is refilling the cup. Total rejuvenation. To be able to give from a place of plenty.
It took me years to know what self care was. What it felt like. And how to give myself permission to do that. And that it is absolutely essential when you are supporting others.
Self care is going to be different for everyone. For me, it’s all of the above. Barefoot walks. Being in and around water, forests, and mountains. Fresh air. Breathwork. Good food. Connecting with my body. Art, architecture, history, music. Travel. Time away from devices. And remembering who I am beyond my roles as a teacher, a facilitator, a friend etc… I get to be with me, without compromise. It took time to get there. It took learning boundaries. It took ferocious self love and knowing my worth….. and I’m still learning.
Ready to head back to London tmrw, full of inspiration and energy. 🔥
