Breathtaking, untouched Japanese nature brought Keith and our two families together to experience what the Japanese call Shinrin Yoku or forest bathing.
It’s something the Japanese have officially recognised as a form of therapy, and we can completely understand why every time we immerse ourselves in nature here. The trees are enormous, moss grows magically over everything, and it is so, so, so quiet.
Just twenty minutes outside the city of Kyoto, we were completely immersed in green, with Keith as our guide. A Canadian expat with an incredible love for nature a true Farmaturist :-) He gives us a little glimpse into the origins of Shinrin Yoku.
(Full interview coming soon on our Farmatuur website.)
