Separating neglected dreadlocks… When you don’t look after your dreads properly they can easily grow together. This new client didn’t take good care of his dreads for more than 1 year… Luckily it wasn’t too late and I could still separate the locks. Follow us and stay tuned for more videos of the restoration process!

Dreadlock maintenance after 1 year of neglect ✨ This new client didn’t take (good) care of his dreadlocks for 1 year! No maintenance, but he also didn’t wash the dreads often enough and didn’t use the right products to do so. Regular shampoos aren’t suitable for dreadlocks, as they make the hair soft and smooth, which prevent it from getting entangled. A good dreadlock shampoo however not only keeps the dreads clean, but also stimulates the natural process of the hair growing together and eventually getting felted. We always recommend to wash your locks as frequently as 2 or 3 times a week 🚿
