⚠️It’s time to have a little talk with our dear clients.⚠️
I’ll keep it short and to the point. (Just like your favorite Al😅)
We all use Al many times a day now. It’s a useful tool for a lot of things - I get it.
But it will not help you create a tattoo design.
Here’s why:
⭕️Tattooing is a very specific craft.
An experienced artist must have many important skills and understand the process of composition, body placement for each individual client, body curves, skin deformation, and how tones and details will look after healing.
⭕️Al doesn’t understand how much detail can
realistically be added.
It cannot judge what will still look clean and readable years later, and what will turn into a muddy mess after two years.
⭕️Even if the idea is interesting, the generated image is usually not usable.
You are generating a body part with an already
«finished» tattoo on it — that is not a proper tattoo design. The image is distorted, and the artist cannot simply turn it into a stencil.
⭕️Al will never tell you that your idea is strange
or too generic.
Every tattoo should be unique. The days of a single album with ten designs for the whole city are long gone.
⭕️Al gathers information from the internet.
And most freely available information online comes from people who often do not fully understand the subject. Those who possess truly valuable professional knowledge usually sell that knowledge, not post it for free.
I could list many more points, but I promised to keep it brief.
Whether you’re planning your first tattoo or another large project, the best approach is to trust the artist whose work you genuinely love.
Simply describe your idea in words. That is usually enough for a professional artist to visualize it, understand the concept, and determine whether they can help you.
And the quality and style you receive will be the same style you see in that artist’s portfolio. If the portfolio shows something different, keep looking for the right artist.
Wishing everyone great tattoos and great clients.
