Hazelnut milk:
Richer in poly-unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E than other plant-based vegetables. It contains less sugar than most other milk. Recommended in case of dyspepsia ( poor digestion ) and diabetes.

Rice milk:
The most digestive of all plant-based milk. Ideal in the event of gastritis, gastroenteritis, colitis, and whenever diarrhea is present. Recommended for hypertension sufferers. It is low in fat and proteins.

Canary seed milk:
Canary grass is the seed of a plant ( Phalaris canariensis ) used as bird-feed, which is cultivated in Mexico and Middle East. There are scientific findings regarding its beneficial effect on diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol; however, many unfounded properties are attributed to it. To produce canary seed milk, seeds free of silicon fibres in its hulls should be utilised, as these fibres can cause cancer of esophagus.

Tiger Nut Horchata:
Made from tiger nuts, small tuber from the plant Cyperus esculentus, belonging to the same botanical family as papyrus. The region of Valencia ( Spain) is famous for its tiger nut production and its delicious horchata. It provides, in addition to carbohydrates, unsaturated fats, proteins, vitamins B and E, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and iron. It contains highly digestive enzymes that facilitate digestion. Recommended in the event of diarrhea or colitis.

Making of plant-based milk:
1. Soak the grains, seeds or tubers, usually overnight, 150g to obtain 1 later of beverage.
2. Remove the water used for soaking.
3. Alternatively, add dates or raisins as sources of healthy sugars, approximately one handful per litre of water.
4. Add liter of water as to cover the grains, seeds or tubers, and crush them until a smooth paste is achieved.
5. Strain through a cloth or colander.
6. If you wish to sweeten it, use Stevia ( non-caloric sweetener ) or perhaps molasses. If desired, add a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla.

Coconut milk is prepared the same way, you can prepare it from medium high-fat coconut flakes ( the flakes don’t need to be soaked), and the water needs to be warm.

Charcoal and it’s benefits
Although not an herb, yet charcoal is invaluable in a number of ways. It will adsorb (not absorb, but bind with) 29 of the 30 most dangerous poisons, thus neutralising them.
Usually obtained from a hard wood, charcoal is produced by slow combustion in a relative absence of oxygen. Commercial sources are usually made from coconut shells.(Burnt toast or charcoal briquettes are not charcoal!)
The surface area of charcoal is astounding, for it has millions of micropores with surface areas ranging from 400 to over 1,800 square meters per gram!
Internally, charcoal cannot adsorb all poisons, but it can bind with, and thus neutralise many of them. Here are but a few of the many things it adsorbs: many industrial toxins, many medicinal drugs, many inorganic chemicals.
In any type of acute poisoning, the best thing to do is to induce vomiting, followed with a large dose of activated charcoal, diluted in water, to render most substances harmless.
Charcoal can also be taken to stop intestinal gas. It is also very good for diarrhea.
Charcoal also can be used for water and air filtration, it removes: Chlorine, Chemicals and Odors.
Also charcoal is used in some skincare and beauty products, for example: face masks, cleansers, soaps, toothpaste and so on.
Externally, you can use it as a poultice on wounds, skin infections, and above inflamed body areas.
Follow us to see next how to prepare poultice from charcoal and how else you can use it.

Even a slight lack of water can lead to headaches, lack of concentration, dizziness and a feeling of fatigue. 😓
Water is involved in almost all processes in the body — it supports brain function, regulates body temperature, aids digestion and helps the body eliminate toxins. When we don’t drink enough water, the body starts to work “in slow mode”, which we often feel as a lack of energy or difficulty focusing.
Proper hydration 💦 also affects the condition of our skin, energy levels and even our mood. Sometimes the feeling of hunger is actually a signal of thirst, which is why regular water intake throughout the day is extremely important.
One of the habits we learn to build in our 10 days program is proper hydration — when and how to drink water to support our body naturally. Small but consistent steps can make a big difference in our daily life. 💧
