Very grateful to receive this award at the COBRE/AAPS 2026 Symposium!

This project has been months (and many, many experiments) in the making. We developed a gallium-engineered nanoplatform for gene delivery capable of retaining DNA under acidic conditions while promoting controlled release at physiological pH - a strategy that may help improve intracellular cargo preservation and delivery.

Science is rarely a straight line. It’s countless failed experiments, late nights in the lab, questions you can’t answer (yet), and the excitement of discovering something new along the way.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey - especially my advisor, collaborators, lab mates, friends, and family for all the support.

Excited for what’s next! 🚀

Grateful for this moment

I’ve been selected as a 2026–2027 Possibility Fellow at NDSU and honored to be the only awardee from my college.

This recognition highlights something I truly believe in: using science not just to publish papers, but to solve real problems.

I’m especially excited to learn how to translate research into real-world impact and to use this support to attend events, share our findings, and grow beyond the lab.

I’m beyond grateful to share that I received the 3MT Innovation Commendation for the work I presented:

“A Trojan Horse Nasal Spray Against Alzheimer’s Disease.”

There is a unique fulfillment in working on something that has the potential to impact millions of lives. Alzheimer’s disease continues to affect families across the world, and contributing to innovative strategies that may help reshape how we approach treatment is both an honor and a responsibility.

The results we are seeing are highly promising, reinforcing the potential of gene delivery and intranasal nanotechnology as transformative tools in neurodegenerative disease. Being able to contribute to research that may influence not just a field, but society as a whole, is a privilege I do not take lightly.

Science is more than discovery — it is service to humanity.

And above all:

“All honor and all glory be to the Lord.”

Grateful. Inspired. Motivated to keep building.
