The Buddha temple and garden in front of the main building of Punakha Hospital was constructed in 2012 as a tribute to His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo on the auspicious occasion of the 60th Birth Anniversary. The sacred space continues to stand as a symbol of peace, gratitude and inspiration for all.
The initiative was led by the then Medical Officer In-Charge, Dr. Choeda Gyeltshen, now Medical Superintendent of Central Regional Referral Hospital, Gelephu.

We are deeply fortunate to observe the Annual Rimdro of Punakha Hospital, a sacred occasion dedicated to prayers for the well-being of all patients, staff, and the community.

This year’s Rimdro is especially blessed as it is being presided over by Drupthob Dawa Gyeltshen Rinpoche, whose presence adds profound spiritual significance to the ceremony.

May this auspicious event bring health, peace, and protection to all. πŸ™
