Creating a Safe Space to Speak, Share and Be Heard

As part of our ongoing efforts to promote a safe and supportive learning environment, our two Wellbeing Focals have initiated a Hope Box at school. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›

Through the Hope Box, children can privately share their concerns, worries or thoughts in writing whenever they feel the need to be heard or supported.

This initiative was developed in consultation with the Principal and teachers during a review meeting, with the shared goal of strengthening student wellbeing, care and safety within our school community.

Because every child deserves to feel safe, heard, valued and supported. ๐ŸŒผ

The staff meeting conducted today focused on strengthening teaching and learning through reflection, collaboration and purposeful planning.

The meeting began with the Principal revisiting the MoDEX template and assessment rubrics, providing clear guidance on maintaining consistency, quality, and meaningful implementation. The session reinforced our shared understanding of expectations and the importance of using the rubrics effectively to support authentic student learning.

This was followed by a presentation on the PTM Feedback Review by NAH, where parentsโ€™ valuable feedback and suggestions were analysed. We are deeply encouraged by the overwhelming response from 476 parents, with over 97% expressing positive feedback on the PTM. This resounding appreciation reflects the dedication of our teachers and the strong partnership we share with our parents.
While we are grateful for the trust and encouragement shown by our parent community, we also recognize that every suggestion is an opportunity to improve. Teachers actively participated in meaningful discussions and identified practical follow-up actions to further strengthen child safety, student well-being, teaching and learning, and homeโ€“school communication for the benefit of every learner.

The Vice Principal also presented the Academic Improvement Plan 2026: Mid-Term Strategic Review โ€“ From Assessment to Action, the Student Feedback Analysis, and the Dewathang Primary School Academic Enhancement Plan 2026, reaffirming our shared commitment to continuous improvement and academic excellence.
