Superannuation of Mr. Tenzin Drukpa C

The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation solemnly marks the superannuation of Mr. Tenzin Drukpa C, who retired on 25th March 2026 after rendering decades of service to the profession of physiotherapy and the healthcare system of Bhutan.

Mr. Tenzin began his journey in the department in 1985 as a Helper, presently known as Ward Assistant, under the guidance of Mr. Kokoji, a Burmese Physiotherapist. During the early years of his service, he had the privilege of working alongside various expatriate physiotherapists, including Mr. Ruth McKenzie from New Zealand in 1986 and Mr. Peter from the Netherlands in 1987. These experiences greatly contributed to shaping his professional career and commitment to patient care.

With determination and passion for the profession, he pursued formal training at the Health School, which was later renamed as Royal Institute of Health Sciences and is presently known as the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health. He successfully graduated as a Physiotherapy Technician in 1989.

Following his graduation, Mr. Tenzin served at Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital across various units under the Physiotherapy Department. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he also served as the Store Focal Person for the department before his retirement.

Even after his superannuation, Mr. Tenzin continues to contribute to the field as a Sports Physio Personnel for the Bhutan Football Federation.

The Office of the Head of Department and the entire Physiotherapy fraternity extend heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Tenzin Drukpa C for contributions to the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

We wish him a happy and fulfilling superannuation, along with good health, happiness, and continued success in all his future endeavors.
The HOD on behalf of the Physiotherapy fraternity would like to extend sincere appreciation to the organizing team and all the colleagues for your generous contributions, active participation, and goodwill wishes during the superannuation picnic program of Mr. Tenzin Drukpa C.

Thank you all for being part of this special occasion and for making the farewell celebration a successful and cherished event.

Many people struggle to stay active simply because they haven’t found an activity they truly enjoy.

The important thing to remember is that you don’t have to follow what others like; physical activity comes in many forms!💪
