2nd round of oral polio booster vaccination campaign starts today.
Please bring ALL children 0 - 59 months (under 5 years).
This is a top up, extra vaccine in addition to the usual under 5 vaccines
Vaccine-derived Polio virus was detected recently in neighbouring countries so this booster campaign is in place to protect our children from increased risk of polio.

In Botswana, we have recently experienced extreme flooding, excess heat and drought affecting our homes, livestock and our health. At Independence Surgery, Gaborone we have made adaptions to help our planet and our health such as installing solar panels, switching to LED lights, energy efficient inverter air conditioning and recycling our paper and cardboard waste.
We have linked with Green Botswana Trust and Botswana Association of Family Physicians to plant vegetable gardens, fruit and indigenous shade trees in schools and clinics.
