THE POWER OF CONNECTION
We are wired for connection.
Meaningful relationships can support our psychological wellbeing by giving us:
1. A sense of belongingFeeling accepted and connected can help us feel that we matter and have a place where we fit in.
2.Emotional supportHaving someone who listens, understands, or simply sits with us can make difficult experiences feel more manageable.
3. A sense of safetyHealthy relationships can create spaces where we feel safe enough to express our emotions and be ourselves.
But connection is not about having a lot of people.
It is about having meaningful relationships where you feel seen, heard, understood, and valued.
Sometimes, one genuine connection can mean more than a room full of people.
“Connection is why we are here; it is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives.”Brené Brown
This September, let us reconnect with ourselves, with others, and with what gives us hope.

When Is It Time to Seek Professional Help?
You do not have to wait until things become unbearable before asking for help.

Self-Compassion: Myth or Fact?
Which one is the MYTH and which one is the FACT? 👀

1. People with high self-compassion are less likely to be self-critical after making mistakes.

2. Self-compassion can reduce the fear of failure without reducing a person’s motivation to improve.

Building Emotional Wellbeing
Emotional wellbeing is about creating a healthy relationship with yourself, your experiences, and the people around you. It can be strengthened through small, intentional choices in everyday life.
3 Ways to Build It:
Make Time for What Matters
Prioritise the people, activities and goals that give your life meaning.
Be Kind to Yourself
Give yourself the same patience and understanding you would offer someone you care about.
Create Moments of Positivity
Make space for small moments of joy, gratitude and things that help you feel good.
Take time to do simple activities that bring joy, comfort and boost self-esteem.

Are You Coping or Just Avoiding?

Sometimes, coping can look like avoiding.
When we feel stressed or overwhelmed, we may distract ourselves, withdraw, ignore the problem, or push our emotions aside. This can bring temporary relief, but the difficult feelings may still be there.

Healthy coping does not mean feeling better immediately.
It means responding to difficult emotions in a way that helps you process them, understand what you need, and move forward.

Try asking yourself:
Is what I am doing helping me deal with this, or helping me avoid it?

WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY!

CAN YOU SOLVE THE RIDDLE?
I cost nothing,
but can mean everything.

I can brighten someone’s day,
help someone feel less alone,
and even improve how we feel.

You can give me without losing anything.

What am I? 🤔
