My May Reflections

May reminded me that growth is not always loud, that progress happens in the small, consistent actions that may look invisible. I have learnt to start showing up, stay committed, to learn, and trusting the process.

This month, I had opportunities to engage with teenagers, parents, and schools through Teen Thrive Life Coaching (Its been lovely). Each conversation has reinforced why I am passionate about helping young people discover their potential and develop the skills they need to thrive.

I was also reminded that impact is built one person at a time. When a few register for our workshops; we understand we are building, we may not always see immediate results, but every seed planted through coaching, and meaningful conversations has the potential to change a life and that to me is important.

Thank you to everyone who is supporting, encouraging, and believing in this journey. (all our followers, we see you🙏😍)

Reflection:
"What is one lesson May taught you that you'll carry into June?"

What if the life you dream of is still possible?

Just like myself back then, so many young people are full of potential, but self-doubt, poor choices, fear, and lack of direction often keep them stuck.

Teen Thrive Journal was created to help teens become intentional about their lives, use their time wisely, discover their purpose, and build a future they can truly be proud of.

This journal is more than pages — it’s a guide, a support system, and a reminder to parents that our teen children do not have to repeat the same mistakes we made.

They were created to thrive, not just survive.

To Teens: no matter where you are in life right now, your story can still change.(To the 2026 writing classes, there is still time, only if you build focus and strong study skills, you can still turn things around) Your future is still waiting for you.

Teen Thrive Journal — helping teens unlock the infinite potential within them.

NEW WEEK ENERGY

“What if the thing you’re most afraid of
is actually where your potential lives?”

As teenagers, we often make decisions based on fear:
Fear of failing.
Fear of changing schools or classes.
Fear of what people will say.
Fear of losing status, friends, or comfort.

I start by sharing my life as a teen in our Teen Thrive Journal, I share how peer pressure, fear of change, and wanting to “fit in” almost stopped me from stepping into my true strengths. Sometimes the people trying to redirect us are not doubting us — they are trying to help us discover our full potential.

One powerful lesson I learned:
Your gifts will always leave clues.

The subjects you enjoy, the leadership roles you naturally step into, the things you excel at — they all point toward who you are becoming.

Don’t let fear talk you out of growth.
Don’t reject help because change feels uncomfortable.
And never shrink yourself to fit other people’s expectations.

The real question is:
Are you becoming who you truly are, or who fear wants you to be?

“I lost hours to TV
today’s teens are losing themselves to endless scrolling.”

When I was younger, my biggest distraction was television.
I could spend hours watching dramas, music shows, and entertainment without realizing how much time, focus, and direction I was losing.

Today, many young people are facing the same battle — just in a different form.

TikTok. Instagram. Snapchat. YouTube. WhatsApp. Endless scrolling. Constant notifications. Comparing lives. Consuming everything but building very little.

The danger with distraction is that it never looks dangerous at first.
It feels normal. Fun. Relaxing. “Just 5 more minutes.”

But slowly, it steals:

focus

discipline

confidence

purpose

and sometimes even dreams.

That’s one of the reasons I created the Teen Thrive Journal — to help teens become more intentional, and mindful about the life they are creating before distraction creates it for them.

Because potential without direction often becomes regret.

Parents and teens, let’s talk honestly today:

Do you control social media
or does social media control you?
