Today, the brand dominates the local market and is the only line of makeup that can be worn by women with exotic skin, regardless of ancestry. It is distributed throughout the Caribbean and positioned in high-end beauty outlets. From the inception, Kama recognized that women with exotic skin had difficulty finding the right products and colors for their skin tones. Brands catering to the light-ski
n Caucasian consumer, simply added darker colors for women with exotic skin. This however did not work. Their foundations were too red and caused women with darker skin to look ashy and two-toned. Kama was determined to develop the first line of foundations that would perfectly match exotic skin colors. Another problem he recognized was that the eye and lip colors available were not ideally suited to exotic skin. The eye shadows in particular lacked depth of color and “disappeared” on exotic skin. He wanted colors that would make the eyes stand out, the cheeks sculpted and the lips pouted. SECOND SKIN FOUNDATIONS Kama recognized that a beautiful makeover has to begin with the right foundation. It must have full coverage yet look perfectly natural. It must not only have the right depth of color, but also have the right undertone, so that it would fit like a Second Skin and not look two-toned. After years of research, the Sacha Team developed a line of foundations that perfectly match all exotic skin tones, from light to dark, without leaving women two-toned and ashy. These foundations provide full coverage and when used with the Sacha Face Powders, even women with skin blemishes, look as if they have naturally flawless skin. EXCITING COLORS Sacha’s foundations allow women to create the perfect canvas to explore their creativity with their makeup colors. Our exquisite lipsticks and lip glosses look amazing on exotic skin and are designed to make your lips pouted and sexy. MISS UNIVERSE & MISS USA PAGEANTS Until recently, in the 80 year history of the Miss Universe Pageant, there had been only one African Miss Universe. In other years, beautiful women with exotic skin, would walk out on stage and look like “ghosts” under the harsh lighting. In 1998, wearing Sacha, the first African delegate in 25 years, to be crowned Miss Universe was Miss Trinidad and Tobago, Wendy Fitzwilliam. The next year, we were invited to be the Official Cosmetics of the 1999 Miss Universe Pageant. Among the finalists were seven delegates with darker complexions which is another first. For the second year in a row, another African delegate, Miss Botswana was crowned Miss Universe. We were then invited to be the Official Cosmetics of the 2000 Miss USA Pageant. Although most of the delegates were of lighter complexion, they too loved the exotic look the brand gave them. The Pageant was eventually won by Miss Tennessee, an African/Caucasian delegate with exotic skin. CAMOUFLAGE FOUNDATIONS At these Pageants our maximum coverage Kamaflage Foundations are always in great demand. They easily mask skin blemishes on the face and body, did not rub off easily on the swim suits and gowns and look as natural as our regular foundations. After thirty years and countless photo shoots and Beauty Pageants, Sacha has been proven to be one of the best brands of make up for women with exotic skin. Our foundations and colors make Sacha something really special. Sacha has been the Official Cosmetics of the Miss Universe, Miss USA, Miss Trinidad and Tobago, Miss Guyana, Miss Bahamas and Miss Jamaica Pageants.
