WHAT REALLY HAPPENS DURING COLON HYDROTHERAPY? 💧🌿
These pictures capture a quiet moment during a colon hydrotherapy session at Holistic Detox Center in Gaborone.
For many people, the idea of colon hydrotherapy can bring up a lot of questions — What happens during the session? Is it uncomfortable? How does the machine work? What should I expect?
Colon hydrotherapy, sometimes called colonic irrigation, involves the gentle introduction of temperature-controlled, filtered water into the colon through a purpose-designed system. The process allows water to enter and leave the colon in a controlled manner while the client remains comfortably positioned on the machine.
One of the most important parts of the experience is comfort, privacy and professional care.
During the session, our clients are able to relax while the system is operated and monitored. The treatment is designed to be controlled and gentle rather than forceful.
💧 Hydration and comfort matter.
🌿 Privacy and dignity matter.
🧼 Hygiene and proper equipment procedures matter.
👩🏽⚕️ Professional assessment matters.
Colon hydrotherapy may be sought by people who experience constipation or want temporary relief from a feeling of fullness or sluggish bowel movements.
That is why at Holistic Detox Center, we believe in taking a responsible approach: understanding the client’s needs, identifying situations where colon hydrotherapy may not be appropriate, and referring for medical evaluation when necessary.
Your digestive system already has sophisticated mechanisms for eliminating waste. Our role is to provide a carefully controlled service for clients who are appropriate candidates — with safety, hygiene, comfort and education at the center of the experience.
