Cryptorchidism (undescended te**is )

This is when one or both testicles have not moved down into the sc***um by 3-6 months of age especially in premature babies .

Needs to be corrected through surgery between 6 to 18 months of age to avoid complications like infertility ,twisting or cancer.

After 3 months of age ,If not sure ,kindly ask your GP,Nurse or Pediatrician to check for you .

Today we celebrate all midwives internationally. Midwives assist with women’s health before,during and after pregnancy .We are also pleased to inform you that we now have a midwife at AO Clinic KB Mall .She can be seen Monday to Friday between 0800 to 1700.

Autism has a an estimated incidence of about 1 in every 100 children. Early intervention with behavioral ,speech and occupational therapy helps improve outcomes .

Some of the early symptoms noted in childhood are inattention,speech delay,repetitive behaviors and poor eye contact .

If any of these symptoms we encourage an assessment by a child psychiatrist,neurologist and pediatrician .
