Who were we before we got told who to be?

Before we bought into the idea that we're not good enough.
Before we bought into the idea that our true ways of life are barbaric.
When we could make rain.
When we could heal ourselves.
Before we bought into the idea that we need formal jobs to survive.
Before we bought into the idea that we're here merely to survive.
Could we thrive?
Could that be our birthright as well?
Before we bought into the idea that money doesn't love us.
Who were we?
Who are we?

To explore these questions, and more, I design and run youth leadership development programs which enable participants to gain clarity on how to spend their lives, with direction and purpose, while being anchored in the awareness of who they truly are. I'm also designing programs for groups that are not 'youth'. I'll be launching this soon.

I'm also conducting research on African Indigenous Knowledge and Systems. This research is in the form of interviews, with Elders in my community. I'm currently at work conducting these interviews and documenting its findings. I'll share once ready.

In its 'rebirth', this is the work Ai and I have agreed to engage and be immersed in. And, I'm grateful for the clarity that's come with me allowing myself to listen to who Ai wants to be and how she wants to evolve.

What's in a name?

Afrika Ithute, which loosely translates to "Africa, you must learn", is a calling, an urging, for the African to wake to who she truly is, to remember who she is, to unlearn and relearn - to remember her Magic, and begin to reclaim her true power as a deserving member of the Universal race and as a descendant of very powerful African Queens and Kings, who can make it rain.

Dumelang πŸ™‚β˜€οΈπŸ€—; Afrika Ithute is currently going through an exciting rebirth of sorts! I'm now curating it as a space for the healing and reconciliation of the African - for the African to remember who she truly is, and begin to reclaim her TRUE POWER.

This has always been the mandate - to do healing work. It's just been hidden beneath fears of what might become of me were I to called it what it truly is and risk being different! I now realize just how important my mission is to me and to all of the Universe, than the eyebrows that *might* get raised by my truth.
I spent the first quarter of 2019 doing tons of Inner Healing work on myself and while in that process, it became apparent that the manner in which I was doing Ai so was gravely out of alignment with my highest cause and Soul Mission. For a long time, I was so distant from my work, and was actually even afraid of calling it my own. This was quite disempowering and affected my creativity and genius. I'm going to be doing the things now, and will be anchored only in my truth, and in the guidance of my Spirit Guides.

As you might have imagined, Afrika Ithute is a part of my calling. It's part of work I began doing in lifetimes before this one. And, it is work that was begun by my Ancestors in 'past' generations. I rest on their shoulders. And, I am happy to be answering this call at this point in my life.

Going forward, I'll be writing here in my own voice. And, from my heart to yours. This has always been my truth and vibe, and I'm now ready to lean into it.
I'm super excited about this unfolding and for what lays ahead!

My work is for us to remember who we truly are, as Spiritual Beings having a human experience and as Africans, and begin to reclaim our true power. The healing work I've been immersed in has enabled me to reclaim so much my own power, and we need more of such healing in our communities and homes.

I can't wait to journey some more with you.

Here's to another exciting and fulfilling chapter!! πŸ₯‚πŸŽ‰πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ’ƒπŸ§šπŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

This past weekend was a WOW!!! We hosted the of the 2018/2019 Program which focused on Intentional Entreprenership. So happy to see these 13 young people having grown into who they now are!πŸŽ‰β€
Over the next few months, we'll work on the ideas they have for projects and develop these into living entities that will impact the lives of those in the communities.
