Perimenopause and menopause are natural stages of life, but that doesn't mean you have to struggle through the changes without support.

From fluctuating hormones to changes in sleep, mood, energy, and metabolism, every woman's experience is unique. Knowing what is happening in your body — and understanding your options — can make a meaningful difference.

✨ How can a naturopathic doctor support you?

Hormone Health — Help you understand hormonal changes and discuss appropriate testing and treatment options.

Sleep Support — Explore strategies to improve sleep quality and address night sweats that may be disrupting your rest.

Mood & Emotional Well-Being — Support strategies for navigating irritability, anxiety, mood changes, and stress.

Hot Flashes & Night Sweats — Review evidence-informed lifestyle approaches and appropriate treatment options.

Metabolism & Body Composition — Discuss nutrition, physical activity, and strategies to support metabolic health as your body changes.

Bone & Cardiovascular Health — Focus on nutrition, movement, and preventive strategies to support long-term health.

Personalized Supplement Guidance — Review whether supplements may be appropriate for your symptoms, health history, and medications.

Individualized Care — Develop a plan that considers your symptoms, goals, medical history, and personal preferences.

Naturopathic doctors can work alongside your other healthcare providers to help you understand your options, including when to explore conventional treatments such as menopausal hormone therapy.

You don't have to accept feeling exhausted, uncomfortable, or unlike yourself as simply part of getting older.

Let's make this stage of life an opportunity to invest in your health.

As naturopathic doctors, there are a few things we wish more people understood about their health…

✨ You don't have to wait until you're burnt out to ask for help.
You deserve support before you reach your breaking point.

✨ Just because something is common doesn't mean you should ignore it.
Persistent fatigue, digestive issues, painful periods, hair loss, and poor sleep deserve attention.

✨ More supplements don't necessarily mean better health.
Supplements can be helpful in certain situations, but quality, dosage, safety, and medication interactions matter.

✨ Your symptoms are worth talking about, even when your initial tests are normal.
Sometimes further assessment, a review of your health history, or a different approach to investigating your concerns is needed.

✨ You don't need a perfect diet to be healthy.
Consistency, balance, adequate nourishment, and habits you can maintain matter more than perfection.

✨ Your health is about more than a single number on a lab report.
Your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and individual risk factors all help provide context.

✨ Taking medication and using natural therapies aren't mutually exclusive.
The goal is safe, individualized care. Always check with a qualified healthcare professional before adding supplements or herbal products to your routine.

✨ You deserve to feel heard.
Your concerns, questions, and health goals matter.

At Your Health Collective, we believe in taking the time to listen, explore your concerns, and help you make informed decisions about your health.

🌿 Your health journey is yours. You don't have to navigate it alone.

A Friendly Reminder About Our Cancellation Policy

We completely understand that life happens. Schedules change, kids get sick, work runs late, and unexpected things come up. We always appreciate as much notice as possible when you need to change or cancel an appointment.

At Your Health Collective, our practitioners reserve dedicated time specifically for each patient. When an appointment is cancelled at the last minute or missed entirely, that time often cannot be offered to another patient who may be waiting for an appointment.

Our cancellation policy helps us protect:

🌿 Our team — our practitioners and staff dedicate their time to caring for you and our community.

🩺 Other patients — especially those who may be waiting for an appointment or need to be seen sooner.

🏡 Our small business — like many healthcare and service-based businesses, we have staffing, rent, administrative and operating costs that continue whether an appointment is attended or not.

And this isn't unique to healthcare.

Many service-based industries have cancellation and/or no-show fees, including:

✈️ Airlines
🏨 Hotels
🏋️ Gym memberships & fitness studios
👶 Childcare
📚 Private tutoring & lessons
🍽️ Restaurants
💇‍♀️ Salons & personal services
🩺 Healthcare clinics

These policies aren't intended to be punitive. They're designed to protect the time that has been reserved for you and help businesses continue providing their services to the community.

Our policy:

📅As we embark on our busiest time of the year we will now require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

• First missed appointment, no-show, or cancellation with less than 48 hours' notice: 50% of the appointment fee
• Subsequent missed appointments/no-shows or late cancellations: 100% of the appointment fee

We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. 💚

Thank you for respecting our team, our practitioners, and the patients who rely on us for care.

😴 Getting 8 hours of sleep… but still exhausted?

You’re getting enough hours of sleep, so why do you still feel tired?

Fatigue isn’t always about how long you sleep. Sometimes, it’s worth looking deeper at what’s happening inside your body.

At Your Health Collective, we may consider testing for:

Thyroid function
Thyroid hormones play an important role in energy, metabolism, mood and sleep. Thyroid dysfunction can contribute to persistent fatigue, brain fog and changes in sleep.

Iron & ferritin
You can have iron deficiency even before developing anemia. Low iron stores may contribute to fatigue, weakness, poor concentration and hair loss.

Vitamin D
Low vitamin D levels are common and may be associated with fatigue, muscle weakness and low mood.

Vitamin B12 & folate
These nutrients are important for red blood cell production, neurological function and energy metabolism. Low levels can contribute to fatigue and brain fog.

Hormones such as progesterone
Depending on your symptoms and menstrual cycle, hormone patterns may be relevant—particularly when fatigue occurs alongside PMS, menstrual changes, sleep disruption or other hormonal symptoms.

Cortisol & stress response
Your body's stress-response system is closely connected with energy and sleep. In selected patients, cortisol testing may be considered based on their symptoms and clinical history.

The goal isn't to test everything—it’s to determine which tests actually make sense for YOU.

If you're consistently tired despite getting adequate sleep, it may be time to look beyond sleep duration and investigate potential underlying contributors.

Testing recommendations are individualized and should be interpreted alongside your symptoms, medical history and medications.

A patient asked me this today—and honestly, it’s one of the most important questions you can ask before starting a new supplement.

Just because something is “natural” doesn’t mean it’s automatically safe to combine with medications.

Sometimes the answer is yes. Sometimes it’s no. And sometimes it’s simply a matter of changing the dose, timing or form.

The takeaway? Don’t assume “natural” means “no interactions.”

If you’re taking medications and considering adding supplements, talk with a qualified healthcare professional who can review the full picture with you.

💚 At Your Health Collective, we believe supplements should be personalized—not one-size-fits-all.
