'The Real You'

Perhaps you have not considered the ego a detriment to evolution before, but thought that it was really who you are, complete with all the insecurities and negative traits that characterize it.
The real you has never known darkness or fear in any of its aspects. The real you is pure light and you are endowed with the positive attributes of that light. So why all the pain and suffering in this world? There must be another factor at play here if we are really beings of love and light.

The Source of Fear is an energetic phenomenon that resists the truth of who we are as manifestations of Omnipresent Love and is what makes pain and suffering even possible.
The seeming separation from God or Omnipresence occurred in our ancient past giving rise to the 'Source of Fear,' hence the lie of duality and the birth of the ego or false self that is diametrically opposed to our true selves.

Fear is the experience of the absence of love. In truth, there is no such thing as the absence of love since love is everywhere present, the most powerful force in the Universe and the basis of all Creation. We can, however, be unaware of the presence of love, thus engendering the ‘experience’ of fear.

It is not possible for a part of Omnipresence to be separate. Omnipresence is One and all encompassing by its very nature. However, we can believe that we are separate from our Source and suffer all the pitfalls of that illusion.

So the ego, being fear based is also not real, although we experience it’s effects. It has no power of itself, only that which we give it.

We have been abducted by this energetic phenomenon and our lives are not our own so long as we believe that we are our egos.
A distinction must first be made between our true self and the ego, which masquerades as our true self, before we are even capable of addressing the problem of fear and its destructive effects.

Fortunately, we are now in a position to do so. “The Final Elimination of the Source of Fear” * by Saratoga and Telstar is a very special and timely book containing a process that addresses this problem and allows you the opportunity to have the source of fear eliminated from within you forever. You will still have the patterns of fear but they can much more easily be transmuted when the ‘glue’ holding them in place is no longer there.

Becoming Free through Radical Forgiveness and the Holy Spirit'

What makes radical forgiveness radical is that it doesn’t make what you are forgiving real. It looks beyond the negative behavior to the innocent truth. Rather than focusing on the negative behavior it focuses on the truth of that person who was created a perfect being of love and light and still is - underneath the dark cloud of the false self. That radiant light is life giving and the dark illusory mind of the false self is life negating. That’s why we call it negative behavior. It goes against life. Not even the body, as we experience it in this finite dimension, is truly real for God only creates the eternal like unto itself.

From ACIM: “The world we see merely reflects our own internal frame of reference–the dominant ideas, wishes and emotions in our minds. “Projection makes perception” (text, p. 445). We look inside first, decide the kind of world we want to see and then project that world outside, making it the truth as we see it. We make it true by our interpretations of what it is we are seeing. If we are using perception to justify our own mistakes–our anger, our impulses to attack, our lack of love in whatever form it may take–we will see a world of evil, destruction, malice, envy and despair. All this we must learn to forgive, not because we are being “good” and “charitable,” but because what we are seeing is not true. We have distorted the world by our twisted defenses, and are therefore seeing what is not there. As we learn to recognize our perceptual errors, we also learn to look past them or “forgive.” At the same time we are forgiving ourselves, looking past our distorted self-concepts to the Self That God created in us and as us.”

“The Holy Spirit transforms (our judgements) into perfect lessons in forgiveness and in awakening from the dream. Each one is an opportunity to let perceptions be healed and errors corrected. Each one is another chance to forgive oneself by forgiving the other. And each one becomes still another invitation to the Holy Spirit and to the remembrance of God.”

By offering our judgements and negative feelings up to the Holy Spirit, not conceptually but by fully feeling them first, they become transmuted back into the pure light of truth that we are…

“The Holy Spirit (is) God’s alternative to the illusion of separation and to the belief in the reality of sin, guilt and death. It is the one correction for all errors of perception; the reconciliation of the seeming opposites on which this world is based.”

“Through forgiveness the thinking of the world is reversed.”
“When you have been caught in the world of perception you are caught in a dream. You cannot escape without help, because everything your senses show merely witnesses to the reality of the dream. God has provided the Answer, the only Way out” His Holy Spirit…

Radical forgiveness, with the Holy Spirit, truly is the key to our freedom.

'A Course in Miracles - a non-dualistic teaching'

A Course in Miracles is an uncompromising non-dualistic teaching. It does not try to incorporate duality into its perception of the world. We as a civilization have been trying to do that for eons in order to find explanations for the way things are and it hasn’t worked because it can’t.

At some point we have to admit that there is something wrong with this so-called ‘reality’ where opposites are equally true...and everything eats everything else in order to survive and suffering is the way to evolve. If God created such a world as this, then God would have to be a ma*****st.

But in our hearts we know that God is love and that suffering should not exist at all for any reason even a spiritual one. There is no good reason why suffering should exist.
Yes, we can glean wisdom from a bad situation but that doesn’t mean that wisdom can only be obtained through suffering. What if wisdom is inherent and is gained by going within rather than experiencing hardship from without? Love is all and contains all and we are beings of love which means we can experience more and more of ourselves forever without experiencing the opposite of love.

If love is all, then there is no opposite to love. That’s why the course states that the world (of duality) is not real and certainly was not created by God. “Into eternity, where all is one, there crept a tiny, mad idea, at which the Son of God remembered not to laugh.” The mad idea was that we could be separate from our Creator, which is ludicrous. We can no more be separate from our Source than a ray of sunlight can be separate from the sun.

To believe that we are separate from our Source creates the lie of duality and its inherent conditions of conflict and suffering. Conflict is inherent to duality and to believe that we are separate from our Source is simply not true. Our Source is omnipresent Oneness and that is the truth for all eternity. We do not need to experience the opposite of love in order to know love. There is no such thing as an opposite to love even though we may experience such a thing in a deluded state of duality. As the course says: “The opposite of love is fear but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.” Awareness not fear, is required to navigate this world.

When we have been conditioned for eons to believe in the validity of this dualistic world and our dualistic natures (our true and false selves), then ‘oneness’ can be a bitter pill to swallow. To our logical and linear thinking minds it just does not compute. But our hearts know the truth and the only way to restore our sanity is to quiet our minds and listen to our heart’s wisdom – not to make ‘sense’ of an insane world, but to transcend it… ‘to be in the world but not of it.’

Although we will be referencing ‘A Course in Miracles’ in our examination and ultimate undoing of the ego, I would be remiss if I did not mention another very special and revolutionary process in order to clarify the nature of the ego:

Near the end of the book the reader is invited to partake in a process to have the ‘source of fear’ eliminated from within them.
Successful completion of this evolutionary process makes it possible to transmute fear-based patterns that previously resisted all such attempts. The ‘energetic phenomenon’ holding such negative patterns in place will be gone thus making it possible to transmute them much more easily.

THE EGO & A COURSE IN MIRACLES - HEALING WITH YESHUA

A Course In Miracles received by Dr. Helen Shucman from Jesus is a masterful examination and exposé of the ego, the false personality, and how it undermines all efforts to know one's true self and be free. The role of forgiveness Is an antidote to the negative patterns of the ego and a prevalent theme throughout the Course.

ACIM is a practical guide to freeing the mind of the egos destructive influence enabling you to 'hear the voice' of your true self. It aims at shifting duality-based perspectives back to Unity consciousness, from the illusion of separation back to the reality of Oneness, so that we can live in this dualistic world but not be 'of it' and thereby contribute to its healing and upliftment.

The shifts away from ego-based thinking to an experience of our true self are the 'miracles' that the course aims to facilitate. The great work before us, then, is to transmute the lie of separation, the illusion of the 'dream,' back into the truth of Oneness our real home, from which we have never left.

It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all encompassing can have no opposite."

"This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God."

If you are a current student of "A Course In Miracles" or simply interested in self discovery these talks can serve as a review or an introduction respectively. Each posting will focus on one aspect of the course. These talks are not a substitute for doing the 365 workbook exercises that will give deeper meaning to the courses information and engage its transformational potential.

The purpose is to learn to differentiate between the false personality or egoic thinking mind and the real you or Divine mind; to silence the ego's distracting messages and 'hear the voice' of your true self. By embracing the Divine mind rather than identifying with the ego, we come into harmony and are healed on all levels, spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.

'SOON'

You came into this world by trickery and deceit
seeking a host for your cancerous appetite,
spawned by a mistake of misdirected will.
Having no power of yourself, you usurped power
from the sacred union that begets all life.
Splitting them asunder,
you proclaimed yourself God.

Hence began duality's curse,
the ancient reign of terror and destruction.
The beginning of death and dying.
Sustained by fear, ready for battle,
loath to lose your paralyzing grip.

Yet in the moment of your advent
did nature provide salvation's answer,
patiently waiting for this very hour.
A window of opportunity,
when mankind's deliverance draws nigh.
