We see it every day.
The woman whose mind is still running through her to-do list while she’s on the table.
The woman who braces before she’s even touched.
The woman taking small, shallow breaths without realizing it.
The woman who tries to do our job for us by moving before we ask or handing us the next finger.
The woman who needs more pressure, or less pressure, but doesn’t say anything.
The woman whose body is exhausted but won’t let herself fall asleep.
The woman who wants to relax but doesn’t quite know how.
None of this means you’re doing anything wrong.
It usually means you’ve been carrying stress for so long that being “on” feels normal.
After 12 years of working with busy women, professionals, caregivers, and people carrying more than they should, we’ve learned something:
The people who need rest the most are often the people who struggle the most to receive it.
And if your body falls asleep during a treatment?
Take the nap.
We’ll wake you up when it’s over. 💙
