At Abilities In Motion, we believe the water is a place of freedom — not limitation. Right now, your gift can help us break down barriers that keep people with disabilities from experiencing the joy of paddling.

With your support this Giving Tuesday, we can:

Fund adaptive equipment — from transfer systems to outrigger kayaks — so more people can get on the water safely.

Train new instructors who understand how to teach paddling in a way that meets each individual’s needs.

Expand our community to new regions, creating inclusive paddling opportunities across Ontario — and beyond.

When you donate, you’re not just giving money — you’re giving confidence, connection, and a chance for someone to explore their potential on the water.

September 23rd Is International Day Of The Sign Languages

Sign languages unite many, and today Abilities in Motion wishes to share the importance of linguistic identity and cultural diversity of the deaf community, and sign language users with everyone! According to the World Federation of the Deaf, there are “more than 70 million deaf people worldwide…” and collectively “...they use more than 300 different sign languages.” For all of our hearing impaired friends and family, happy international day of sign languages!
