*PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT *
“How hard could it be? It’s just an outline, and solid colour. No shading, no blending, that’s easy, I can do that”. I hear this kind of thing all the time. My customer purchased a $40 tattoo kit on Amazon, watched a few videos, and made the mistake I’m seeing a lot these days. On the right, is the tattoo he did himself, with his new equipment, and some Tik Tok videos to guide him. On the left is the one I did for him. I’m glad he was ok with me using this as an example. Nothing worthwhile is easy, and nothing good comes free. If you watch a pilot fly an airplane, he knows what he’s doing, so he makes it look easy. I could buy an airplane, if I had the money, but it wouldn’t make me a pilot. I could buy all the best tools around, but it wouldn’t make me a mechanic. Somehow, people don’t apply this logic to tattooing.
