June has been a little extra ...no?
Weather spectrum stretches from end to end, busy ... so much busy!
Have you been telling yourself you'll take a break after this one more thing?
From planting to gardens to upkeep on the property, pulling Summer outta storage in the form of furniture and plant holders, working with the Herd to bring a couple youngsters into the space of being decent citizens and finding their medicine within the Herd!
Summer is that time ... we get extra hours of daylight and we bust ourselves to make them count!
Sitting with the Herd this morning there was a relaxed vibe, eating, standing, socializing ... there was no rush, no where to be or list to complete ... just the sun on their backs, an appreciation for each other and a curiosity about what I was up to!

Yesterday was International Yoga Day, the 12 Annual recognition of this day and it came themed with 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing' 🤍
Finally a theme that wasn't looking to hide or defy ageing! The idea that our worth is attached to our youth; or measuring up to societal beauty standards is quite frankly exhausting ... have we not died on this hill enough times?
Yoga has been my saving grace in times of deep grief and kept me honest in times of pure joy; it is a language my body understands, not just in the physical postures, but in all the layers ... the breath, the stillness, the pieces that support a healthy mindset above all ... gratitude! Bringing wellness into my ageing!
At hOMe I have been told on more than one occasion ... I've never done a yoga class like this before! Not gonna lie I wasn't sure how to take that but in the end both students were quick to share they loved it!
What I know and am most proud of in my practice is that I have created an eclectic blend of all the things I love in every class/workshop/retreat that I offer ... if you haven't tried it, this is your personal invitation to come hOMe!

Come hell or high water ... The Wheel Turns!
Our Summer Solstice Rituals took place indoors last night without the visuals of the Herd, the symphony of the trees, or the Sun setting in the West behind the Round Pen ... the aesthetics were different, but anyone who honours Ritual will tell you - Intention is Everything!
This community that shares space with me here At hOMe brings such wisdom and depth of Self to the programs the Herd and I curate! I am forever grateful to the women who join me here and offer themselves to the transformation opportunities that are presented every night!
Following the Seasons and the Great Wheel came for me after I started following the Moon (in an attempt to head my crazy off at the pass), a psychic friend spoke to me about the 4 directions and I leaned into those teachings, an astrology teacher talked about the Elements and I leaned into those teachings ... layer by layer I was adding to my understanding, to my connection and ultimately into my own Medicine.
Year over Year I am following a rhythm that is more and more attuned to that of Nature, each season comes in a Direction with an Element and when those layers are applied to how I navigate my life during those seasons I am optimizing my energy and my capacity to grow and expand!
This Year Summer Solstice will bring a huge duality for me, I will be celebrating my 40th Wedding Anniversary and my 1st Fathers Day without my Dad ... I started the year excited for my 100th birthday (60 years as a human & 40 years as a wife) and while I am still a bit awe struck by both those numbers what I am sure of is it has been a helluva ride!
I am skipping out on Social Media for the Weekend ... but wanted to wish all the Dad's out there a spectacular Day ❤
I hope everyone will take a moment on Sunday while you are honouring your Dad to feel the Sun on your skin and recognize the shift that is happening ... we are moving from planting seeds to nurturing their growth, from the Airy East to the Firey South ... here comes Summer!

Friends if you’re joining me in studio this evening to celebrate the altered Summer Solstice Ceremony I have some wonderful news to share… I have donated proceeds from tonight’s class to the Guelph Humane Society to support Rosa’s healing journey ❤️‍🩹
As the sun hits its peak and light is abundant it felt right we shed some light on this sweet soul today 🙏🏻 Thank you for shifting course and honouring the turn of the Wheel with us! xo

Her body tells a story of prolonged suffering. Her nails have grown so long that it is difficult for her to walk. Thick, rough, blackened skin covers her neck and the backs of her legs. Her skin is painfully infected; her fur thin and patchy. And hanging from her mouth is a large growth that clearly...

JUNE 18TH SUMMER SOLSTICE UPDATE
Good Morning!
I am making the difficult decision to move tonight's Summer Solstice Ceremony inside ... the weather has made conditions in the Round Pen less than suitable for yoga ... unless you wanted a S'up Board Yoga Class!
As I indicated yesterday you have three options:
1. Join us at 7:00 in studio for the Solstice Ceremony
2. Full Refund is available - send me your email address
3. Book your spot for the August 27 Full Moon Round Pen Ritual
Please let me know which choice you're making so that I can plan accordingly!
The Herd is indoors this morning enjoying a Spa Day with the Ferrier but a few of them were happy to send along some 'boops' to let you know they're disappointed too!

That's a wrap on another week of classes ... it's so good to be back - thank you to all who joined me this week!
There are a couple openings for our Summer Solstice Celebration in the Round Pen Thursday June 18th @ 7:00pm
The evening will include reflection and intention setting for the Summer ahead, a gentle movement practice to honour the Sun sitting at it's highest peak, time with the Herd to embody the intentions and time around the fire in community with tea and treats!
We are so excited to kick off the Equine programs for this Year of the Horse Season!
