This is a clear example of a hard callus over the 3rd MTP joint.
Calluses form due to pressure and typically over a joint or bony prominence. Although they can be reduced for comfort, unless the pressure is offloaded, they come back and need regular maintenance.

This gentleman’s feet just needed a little TLC. For the dry flaky skin I used the medium grit sanding band and PodoExpert mousse.
