Tonight, the Moon enters the waters of Pisces in a partial lunar eclipse and I keep feeling one word: renewal.
There is something about this Moon that feels like an invitation to enter the water. To soften. To listen. To let the waters carry what we no longer need to hold.
Pisces as the final sign of the zodiac, carries the energy of completion. A closing of a cycle. A surrendering of what has run its course.
What feels especially meaningful to me is that this eclipse arrives across two dates: August 27, which reduces to 9 and the 28th, carrying the energy of 10. Which is so perfectly aligned with a completion of one cycle and the beginning of another.
Perhaps this is why I keep feeling called to look back, not to revisit the past, but to witness it deeply.
To look at all its taught us. The lessons. The growth. The ways we have changed. The places we have matured.
Eclipses can be revealing. They can illuminate what has been unfolding and bring us into a deeper understanding of what we have been moving through.
The Pisces Moon is asking us, what has matured within you? What have you learned that you no longer need to keep learning? What are you ready to stop carrying?
Let the water take it. Let it move through you. Let it return to the great body of life where nothing is truly wasted.
Because release isn’t always about leaving something behind. Sometimes it is simply about gathering the wisdom from what we have lived through and allowing the rest to flow.
The Sturgeon Moon reaches its fullness at 12:18amEST, with the lunar eclipse reaching its peak at 12:12am. The shadowed portion of the Moon may glow a deep copper red, creating that beautiful blood moon effect.
So tonight, if you feel called, step outside. Stand beneath the Moon. Feel the depth of all that has changed. Gather what has matured, and then gently, let the rest go.
There is nothing more you need to become. This is the moment to honour who you have become and make space for what you’re ready for next.
