Yesterday I wrote about rebirth.

Today feels less like becoming someone new and more like remembering who I’ve been all along.

Sometimes returning to our roots doesn’t change who we are.

It simply gives us truer words for who we’ve been all along.

Thank you for walking this path of remembrance with me.

Seventeen years ago, my life changed.

For many years, I told the story as the day I nearly died.

But over the years, I began to see that’s not quite true.

June 19th was the day I was reborn.

The day I crossed a threshold and returned carrying more of my light, initiated more fully into my soul’s purpose.

I knew I could not go back to the life I had been living. I wanted to better serve humanity with the time I had been gifted.

Almost immediately, I felt called to create healing spaces where people could feel truly seen, valued and held.

The longer I walk my own healing path, the more I feel called to support others on theirs.

Not by healing them, but by holding space for them in such a sacred way to slow down, hear themselves again and remember their own innate wisdom and power.

Places where we gather as equals around a table, around a fire, beneath the trees, beside the water.

To share our stories.

To truly be there for one another.

To support, witness and inspire each other.

Places rooted in ceremony, yet deeply human.

Where spirituality isn’t something we perform, but something that naturally flows from the core of who we are.

Places where there is room for grief and joy, laughter and silence, spirit and story.

Where nothing needs to be fixed.

Only witnessed. Felt. Remembered.

Looking back, I can see that the woman who returned 17 years ago is not the woman I imagined I would become.

She is much softer. More humble.

More devoted to presence than performance.

More interested in deep connection than achievement.

More willing to sit beside pain and honour it, trusting in the wisdom and medicine it carries.

Perhaps that has been the real initiation.

Not learning how to guide others, but learning how to truly listen.

To Spirit. To the land. To my own heart.

And to the quiet wisdom that lives within each one of us.

This week, I find myself deeply grateful.

Not for what happened, but for everything it has taught me about life and the power of our spirit.

For the path it opened before me and the people it led me to.

And for the reminder, again and again, that our light does not need to be found.

It only needs to be remembered.

As I sat with my drum today, I was in awe of her spirit and noticed how deeply she loves this weather.

The air has cooled.

The wind has returned.

The leaves are moving again.

And suddenly I found myself imagining Saturdays ceremony.

The waves rolling onto the shore.

The breeze moving through the trees.

The warmth of the sun on our skin.

The smell of the fire.

The rhythm of the drum carrying across it all.

There is something ancient about that rhythm.

Long before we knew words, we knew the heartbeat.

Our own.

Our mother’s.

The steady pulse of life itself.

Perhaps that’s why the drum feels so familiar.

Why our bodies soften when we hear it.

Why something within us remembers.

At Soul Tide, we’ll gather within all of the elements.

The waters reminding us how to flow.

The winds helping us release what is ready to move on.

The earth holding us steady.

The sun restoring every cell of our being.

And the drum calling us back home to ourselves.

Not because it heals us.

But because it helps us remember what has always been there waiting beneath any noise.

It’s supposed to be 17 degrees, mainly sunny with a breeze from the west this Saturday on the shores of Lake Huron and we still have room for one more car if you feel called to honour the Solstice with us.

I have no doubt you can hear the call of your ancestors and feel the energy of this drum. The light codes literally landing below, above and on the actual drum in this photo alone made me cry! 🌈✨

I don’t think we’re feeling depleted because we’re doing too much.

I think we’re tired because we’re doing so little that actually nourishes our souls.

So we keep searching for bigger vacations, bigger transformations, bigger answers.

When sometimes what we’re really longing for is an afternoon together by the water.

A conversation with depth.

The sound of the waves.

Sitting in circle around a fire.

A chance to remember that we’re part of nature, not separate from it.

That’s the kind of spaces and I are trying to create.

Not an escape from life, but a return to it, to each other, to the earth.

In five days, we’ll gather on the shores of Lake Huron for Soul Tide to honour the Summer Solstice.

And whether it’s this gathering or another someday, my hope is that more of us choose slow nourishing moments like these because I have a feeling they’re exactly what this world needs more of.

On Sunday evening we welcome in the New Moon in Gemini. I chose this photo in particular due to the energy coming in lately. May it inspire you at this time, perhaps meditating on it and seeing what channels in for you.

This New Moon feels very expansive. It’s time to let go of the shore, to spread your wings, to stop playing small and set that whimsical light of yours free.

Everywhere I look I see more and more people choosing themselves. Making changes they have been thinking about for years. For some, that’s simply shifting priorities or allowing themselves to do less. For others that’s speaking their truth more or prioritizing themselves after years of caring for everyone else first.

Many people have been talking about feeling between versions of themselves, their old life and their new, or seeing so many possibilities they almost feel torn which way to go.

Gemini is an air sign, which encourages getting curious and tapping into our playful side. Allow your inner child to have some fun creating the new. The wind is here to encourage honest communication with yourself and others, while also blowing out the old in order to welcome in the new.

New Moons are a time to reconnect with your hearts deepest longing and your intuition. Hence when and I are partnering to offer Sacred Pause this Sunday afternoon to support you with that!

Take time to reconnect, trust the ideas coming through for you and follow that thing that’s been on your heart for some time now! Even just saying it out loud to another, you never know where the conversations might go from there.

Here for your leap, the descent that leads to your rise as well as your expansion, Jennifer

I sometimes wonder if the hardest part of any spiritual practice isn’t learning to listen.

It’s carving out the time to rest and believing that what we see, hear or do is enough.

We’ve become so accustomed to chasing extraordinary experiences that we forget the quiet ones can change us too.

Sometimes wisdom arrives as a vision.

Sometimes it arrives as a memory.

Sometimes it arrives as tears you didn’t know you were carrying that needed to be released.

And sometimes it arrives simply as a nervous system that finally remembers what it feels like to rest.

I think that’s why I love shamanic journeying so much.

Not because it takes us somewhere else.

But because, for a little while, it brings us back home to ourselves.

And in a world that rarely stops, there is something profoundly healing about learning to slow down to listen and receive what’s meant for us.

When we gather next Saturday on the shores of Lake Huron for Soul Tide we will enter three shamanic journeys, each experience building upon the last.

As the mind quiets and the body softens, it often becomes easier to listen. Not because we’re trying harder, but because we’ve finally given ourselves the time and space.

I think there’s something incredibly powerful about that.

Not rushing in for a single moment of insight and then returning to the noise, but spending an afternoon allowing the waters, the drum, the circle and the land to gently guide us deeper.

If you’ve been feeling the pull toward the waters or the drum, perhaps the journey has already begun for you.

The benefits of being witnessed and self reflection…

To me, self reflection is about personal growth, emotional awareness, heart healing and my souls evolution here.

When we choose to pour into ourselves it’s investing in all our relations, our life and our souls journey here.

I recognize that taking the first step can be overwhelming and sometimes finding the right fit can be a challenge.

I myself have worked with many professionals over the years, and continue to change them along the way as I evolve or feel called to intuitively.

Some parts of my own journey have been incredibly hard work and others the best work I have ever done.

I promise you it’s so worth it to sit with the right people and you my friend are worth the investment period.

Something beautiful has been unfolding as Soul Tide comes together.
When I first envisioned this gathering, I imagined a circle of people longing for deeper connection; to themselves, to nature, to spirit and to one another.

And that’s exactly what’s happening. But this year, our circle feels more complete as it includes both women and men.

Which both and I thrilled about and genuinely love!

Because while our stories may be different, I don’t believe our deepest longings are.

We all need places where we can slow down.

Where we can sit by the water and around the fire.

Where conversation has depth.

Where silence is welcome.

Where no one is trying to impress anyone else.

Where we can simply be human together.

The more I do this work, the more I believe that ceremony isn’t about separating us; it’s about remembering what actually connects us.

There is one car space remaining for Soul Tide, and we’d be honoured to welcome one more person or perhaps couple into our circle.

If you’ve been feeling a quiet pull toward gathering in nature, perhaps that’s worth listening to.

Join us right here, around this fire along the shores of Lake Huron Saturday June 20th.

06/04/2026

I don’t think our longing for ceremony is new.

I think it’s ancient.

Long before wellness trends, self-development books or social media; people gathered around fires, by rivers, beneath the stars and in forests.

They gathered to mark transitions.

To grieve.
To celebrate.
To pray.
To heal.
To remember.

They gathered because life was never meant to be carried alone.

And while the world around us has changed dramatically, I don’t think that need has disappeared.

If anything, I think many of us feel it more strongly than ever right now.

A longing for spaces that feel intentional.

A longing for moments that carry meaning.

A longing to slow down and reconnect with ourselves, with nature and with one another.

For me, ceremony isn’t about being more spiritual.

It’s about bringing reverence back to ordinary life.

It’s about creating space to listen.

To ourselves.
To the Earth.
To what truly matters.

And perhaps that’s why these gatherings continue to call us.

Not because they’re teaching us something new.

But because they’re helping us remember something we’ve always known.

Soul Tide gathers on the shores of Lake Huron on June 20.
