Make Caramel Apples this fall!

Cook the following ingredients in a saucepan over medium-high heat:

1 c. Butter
2 c. Brown Sugar
1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 c. Corn Syrup

Cook until the temperature reaches 248°F, then remove from heat and add in:

2 tsp. Vanilla extract

Tips:
Slice your apples into disks to make them easier to eat!

Pat your apples dry and ensure they have no coating on the skin - the caramel won't stick if they are too wet.

Cool them in the fridge, so you can enjoy them quicker!

Use a crisp, firm apple - the hot caramel sauce cooks the apple slightly, and a soft apple may get rubbery.

Fridays mean a lot more than just the end of the week at your Co-op!

Each week, team members give $1 to wear a comfy casual t-shirt. Every month, our team pools this money and donates to an organization in our community.

This September, we are excited to donate to Barrhead Healthcare Auxiliary for the Road to Home Program.

The Road to Home program provides no-cost transportation to individuals undergoing cancer treatment who may not have access to safe, reliable travel options.

Thank you to the incredible group at the Barrhead Healthcare Auxiliary for putting together the Road to Home program, and thank you to our Co-op team for the donation, your care for community shines through every Casual Friday.

Hot dogs taste so good when they bring people together!

Your Co-op Team in Whitecourt was happy to donate hot dogs and buns to the Echo Society for their upcoming Hot Dog Days.

The Echo Society supports individuals with disabilities in our communities, providing opportunities for connection and meaningful experiences. We are proud to support organizations like the Echo Society that help make our communities more inclusive, connected and welcoming!
