Itโs not JUST what you eatโฆ WHEN you eat matters too. โฐ
Your body isnโt a calculator that treats every calorie exactly the same, no matter when you eat it.
Research around meal timing and our natural circadian rhythm suggests that consistently pushing most of our food later into the evening may affect things like blood sugar regulation, appetite and how efficiently our body uses energy.
And after almost 30 years of working with clients, one thing I see ALL the time?
Not eating enough during the dayโฆ then wondering why youโre starving at night. ๐โ๏ธ
A few simple things you can try:
โ
Fuel yourself earlier in the day. Your first meal should have some substanceโthink protein, quality carbs, healthy fats and fibre.
โ
Donโt let lunch become an afterthought. A coffee and a handful of something while youโre running out the door doesnโt count. ๐
โ
Stop โsavingโ all your calories for nighttime. Give your body what it needs throughout the day, and keep dinner a little lighter when it works for you.
This isnโt about following another set of rigid food rules.
Itโs about learning how to work WITH your body instead of constantly fighting against it.
Small changes. Done consistently. Thatโs where the magic happens. โจ
