⛳ 5 Ways Physiotherapy Can Help Your Golf Game

Golf performance isn't just about technique. Your mobility, strength, balance, and recovery all play a role in how you perform on the course.

1. Posture & Balance
Good posture helps you line up your swing more consistently, while better balance improves control and accuracy throughout the movement.

2. Rotation
Better hip rotation can help create a fuller swing, while strength helps generate more power and speed.

3. Endurance & Mobility
Improving endurance helps you maintain energy throughout all 18 holes, while mobility supports a smoother, more fluid swing.

4. Recovery
A proper warm-up and cool-down can help your body perform at its best while reducing stiffness and soreness after your round.

5. Injury Prevention
Address aches and pains early to avoid bigger issues and help prevent common golf injuries such as strains and tendonitis.

Whether you're looking to improve your game or stay active on the course, physiotherapy can help you move and feel your best this golf season.

Thinking about running your first marathon? 🏃

Training for a long-distance race takes more than just logging kilometres. To stay on track, you need to build strength, recover properly, and listen to your body's early warning signs.

Our physiotherapists are here to help! We support runners with targeted strength strategies, movement assessments, and injury prevention to keep you moving smoothly toward race day.

Tips:
1. Building strength in your glutes, hips, and core will improve your running form and help prevent common injuries.
2. Increase your weekly distance gradually to help your body adapt and lower your risk of injury.
3. Rest, mobility, proper warm-ups, and listening to early signs of pain, are essential for staying healthy and injury-free.

Struggling to get a good night’s sleep? Here are 6 simple habits that can help you sleep better, recover faster, and wake up feeling refreshed.

Small changes really can make a big difference — your body heals best when you rest well.

✨ Keep a regular sleep schedule
Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day — yes, even on weekends!
☀️ Manage your light exposure
Limit screen time in the evening and get morning sunlight to help support your internal clock.
☕ Watch your caffeine intake
Try to have your last coffee 5–7 hours before bedtime to avoid restless nights.
🏃 Stay active… but not too late
Daily movement can improve sleep quality, but avoid intense workouts right before bed.
🛏️ Create a calming sleep space
Keep your bedroom cool, dark, and quiet for better quality sleep.
⏰ Set a reminder routine
Use reminders to help you wind down, get ready for bed, and wake up consistently.

Today we’re showing you how to achieve a glute bridge with the correct form!

Start by laying on your mat with your knees up and core engaged. You know your core is correctly engaged when you press your back into the mat, bringing your bely button down towards your lower back. When here, you shouldn’t be able to put a hand underneath your back. Then walk your feet in, drive up through your heels, squeeze your bum on the way up and control on the way down!
