Nine years ago, I started this journey because I genuinely wanted to help people feel confident.

Over the years, I’ve learned that aesthetics is about so much more than the treatments we provide.

The Botox matters.
The filler matters.
The lasers matter.
The skincare matters.

But the foundation of everything we do is trust.

Three weeks ago, I took a baseball to the face.

What followed was swelling, bruising, stitches, a missing front tooth, and a recovery journey I never expected to be on.

What most people don’t see is that three weeks later, I still can’t kiss or pucker my lips, I can’t comfortably eat on the left side or tolerate pressure on my face. I still have numbness in some areas and pain in others.

My smile is different.

And if I’m being honest, I don’t know yet whether I’ll be able to fully smile the way I did before.

There have been moments where I haven’t liked the woman looking back at me in the mirror. Watching your appearance change overnight is humbling 🙏

But maybe that’s part of the lesson.

To give myself grace.

To trust the process.

To remember that healing takes time.

And to remember that our worth is so much more than what we see in the mirror.

Throughout my recovery, I’ve been supporting my healing with Alastin Skin Nectar®, Recovery Balm, INhance®, CO2LIFT®, hypochlorous acid spray, and our North Valley Arnica Lip Balm. Yesterday was our official celebration for our Grand Opening and Skin Confidence Social at North Valley Medical Aesthetics, and my heart is so full 🫶

To everyone who came out to celebrate, thank you. Despite the pouring rain, so many of you still showed up, supported us, and helped make the day incredibly special. Your loyalty, trust, and encouragement mean more to me than you’ll ever know.
