Still Shores Collective Yoga • Reiki • Somatic Healing

This is a space for breath, truth, and belonging. Here, we slow down. We feel. We remember who we are. This isn’t just a studio.

It’s a landing place for your nervous system and a lighthouse for your soul.

She came in carrying it all. Mind racing, body bracing, list running in the background of everything.

So we slowed down.

Not to stop but to actually see.
And in the quiet, something opened. A path she couldn’t access when she was moving at the speed of urgency.

The light that came into her face in that moment is why I do this work.

Speed costs us access. To clarity, to possibility, to the part of ourselves that actually knows what to do next.

Slowing down is not the opposite of moving forward. It is how forward becomes possible.

The Practice of Ease is open now. If you are ready to trade urgency for clarity, the link is in bio.

The bubble bath was lovely. The massage was exactly what you needed. The Netflix marathon was honestly non-negotiable.

And your nervous system is still waiting.

Not because you did anything wrong. Because relaxation gives you a break from the feeling regulation teaches your body it's safe enough to stop bracing in the first place.

That's the work we do at Still Shores. Slow, real, and kind of life-changing.

Ease is not a vacation from your life. It’s a different way of living inside it.

A way your nervous system can actually learn. Through small, consistent moments of regulation that start to become your new baseline.

This is what I created The Practice of Ease for. Because transformation doesn’t have to feel like a breakthrough. Sometimes it just feels like a breath you forgot you were holding.

Tap the link in bio if you’re ready for that breath.

𝒀𝒐𝒈𝒂 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉 & 𝑴𝒐𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚's June dates are the 8th, 15th, & 22nd, and there are a few spots left, including a community spot. June's focus will be on exploring and building with pigeon and it's variations.

This practice is designed to be accessible and supportive for a wide range of bodies and experience levels. Because we'll be exploring movement primarily on the mat, participants should be able to transition between the floor and standing with relative ease.

ANNOUNCEMENT 📢

Happy Sunday!

This week's schedule is here.

There are a couple of variations this week.

First Monday Restorative is at 12:15pm. Yup, midday I know it's different and can you give the much-needed boost over lunch. It is my husband's birthday and we are celebrating in the evening so made a change in the schedule because it's important to take the time for those you love and cherish.

Second, there is no class on Saturday as I'm excited to take the day for myself and enjoy a culinary experience at Inner Oaks Holistic Approach with Laura Muise. There is still space available if you want to check it out.

It's important to connect and take time for yourself to nourish and fill your soul. This opportunity presented itself, and I could not say no.

Have a wonderful week.

Misty

Your vagus nerve runs from your brain all the way down through your heart, lungs, and gut. It is your body's built-in guide back to calm and most of us have never formally been introduced.

This Saturday, May 30 we are spending 2.5 hours getting
acquainted.

Tuning the Vagus: A Journey into Nervous System Wisdom is part anatomy lesson, part somatic experience, part honest conversation about why your nervous system does what it does.

We will move through breathwork, restorative poses, and guided relaxation and you will leave with an actual understanding of what is happening in your body and how to work with it.

This is heart-centred, grounded, and practical. There is real science here and there is real magic here. Turns out they have always been the same thing.

Saturday, May 30 | 1:00 pm | $75

That table has held a lot. Women who came in wound tight and left lighter. People who hadn't slept well in months.

Someone who said and I quote "I don't know what witchy thing you did, but I haven't felt this good in years."

That's Reiki. It's not magic, except that it kind of is.

It works with your nervous system, your energy, your body's own intelligence. No crystals required (but definitely included). No belief system necessary.

You just show up, lie down, and let your body remember what rest actually feels like.

Sessions available here: https://www.stillshoresyoga.com/pages/services or just message me.

Slowing down doesn’t mean stopping. It means creating the nervous system conditions where real momentum becomes possible.

The women in my world have experienced this firsthand. They come in running. They leave moving with intention. And somehow, they get more done. Not less.

This is what somatic work actually does. It’s not soft. It’s strategic.

If you’re curious what that could feel like, The Practice of Ease is where we begin.

Your nervous system has been running the show longer than you think. The tension in your shoulders, the shallow breathing, the feeling that you can't quite settle that's not a personality trait.

That's your vagus nerve asking for some attention.

This Saturday at 1pmm we're spending two hours getting to know it.

The Vagus Nerve Workshop is hands-on, body-based, and genuinely useful. You'll leave with an understanding of why your system does what it does and tools you can actually use when life gets loud.

No yoga experience needed. Just bring yourself and maybe a blanket.
