It's been a different kind of year for many small businesses, mine included. I adore working in my shop, helping people achieve better health, and providing them with organic, clean ingredient soaps and body products. With the Canada Post strike, we have had to make the hard decision to shut down sales on our website during our busiest season of the year. A package that used to cost $17.99 to ship with CP, now costs us over $55, plus a one hour round trip drive to Airdrie (along with an average 30-45 min wait in line) to drop it off!
So, having said that, we will just have to do more in-store business, which I have always enjoyed more anyway. My heart is, and always has been, about helping people wherever I can, and that is best done with a face-to-face conversation, a laugh, a hug, and sometimes even a cry, so I'm here for it.
We've decided to open our doors on Saturday, Dec. 7th from 10am to 2pm during our Christmas in the Village celebration. If you've never experienced the small town charm of rural Alberta, this is a great day to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather with the family. There is a Christmas market, free Santa photos, bon fire, treats & refreshments along with a Santa parade, fireworks, and a movie night with crafts, hot dogs, hot cocoa, and more!
And of course, at our shop, we have great prices on Christmas gift packs, health products, and more.
