People often ask me, “How did you come up with the name Room 100?”, and the truth is it came from a feeling. Three and half years ago I listened to a feeling that I had been having for a while. I felt it was very important to try something new, to create something from scratch and to work with people in a very specific way. This was largely due to a bubbling desire for my own growth, which I quickly learned wasn’t what I thought it to be. That’s another story.
When I say I wanted to work in a very specific way there were two guiding principles. The first was working with my hands, a form of self-expression that gives me joy. The second way was more about interaction, I wanted to be able to connect with clients in a meaningful way, in an intimate setting that offered them that same joy that I experienced in my work. So, out of those intentions came all the feelings of trust and comfort. It was also important that I worked in a space that was small enough that I could focus on my craft rather than the overhead. A room was all I needed to work with people, to give them the focused attention and best service I could offer. My goal has always been to give my all and make people feel their best when they leave my room. That’s where Room 100 came from.

Thank you for all your support and committment to Room 100 Skincare during this uncertain time.

I have been diligently following the goverment recommendations and regulations that are being implemented with the COVID - 19 virus, with the situation changing day by day it is evident that serious measures must be put into place to help stop the spread. With much difficult deliberation I have decided to close Room 100 Skincare effective immediately until April 5th 2020. I will be assessing the re-opening as updates are provided by the Canadian Goverment. All appointments booked between now and April 5th 2020 will be rescheduled. I will be in touch closer to the date and confirm new appointment times by email.

I appreciate all the business from each of you and do hope to see you once we have gotten past this difficult time.

In times like this there are many small businesses and Personal Service workers who depend on the income from their services, while it is not possible to support in person, there are many other ways to support during this time.

1. Buy gift cards online - I, as well as many other local businesses are offering giftcards that can be redeemed once things return to regular operation.

2. Buy Products online - I am still taking orders for Eminence Organic Products. The Canadian Distribution is based in British Columbia and is fulfilling orders which Canada Post is delivering.

3. Support Social Media Efforts - Following, commenting and liking the posts of businesses on platforms like Instgram and Facebook can boost their presence and help them to gain more followers. Also tagging family and friends in the comments of the posts can potentially boost traffic. Follow Room 100 Skincare on instagram

4. Leave a Google review - This helps with the organic search ranking when potential customers are searching for services online. It can ensure the business is seen in the search results.

5. Tell a friend about the business! Word of mouth is the best advertising.

All these things can make a huge difference to the small business owner and help with financial recovery from this temporary closure.

We at Room 100 Skincare are continuing to diligently monitor the advisories and implement extra sanitation methods that extend beyond the current public health guidelines. Every touched surface is wiped down with medical grade disinfectant between treatments with sufficient soaking time to ensure their efficacy, services are performed using single use sterile gloves and supplies. In addition we are recommending that any clients who are experiencing flu like symptoms or have travelled outside of Canada to refrain from booking appointments for 14 days. We are committed to supporting the containment effort of Coronavirus (COVID -19) here in Peel Region.
