I have an upcoming opportunity to add to my team of Personal Support Workers/Nurturing Assistants ("Mother's Helper"). Specifically, I am looking for someone who can help me weekdays and evenings. Ideally looking for someone to cover 2-5 shifts a week. Below you will find a more detailed job description. There will be opportunities for more hours/shifts over time. JOB OPPORTUNITY
Seeking PSW/caregiving assistants & nurturing assistants: I am a young woman, mother and early career psychologist with a physical disability who is looking to hire a personal support worker to assist me in my daily routine as well as supporting me as a mother to my 4 year-old-daughter. I work full-time and I live with my husband and daughter in the Yonge/Eglinton area. I hope to work with someone who is flexible, reliable and efficient.
Job responsibilities: Assistance with personal care, transferring, hair/hygiene, housekeeping.
Nurturing assistance: Helping with child care (assisting with play, meal prep., cleaning, etc.)
Location: Yonge and Eglinton (easily accessible by subway)
Hours: Looking for persons to cover day time/evenings Monday-Saturday (Days Thursday and Friday available. Evenings Monday-Wednesday and Saturday available).
Pay: $19-22 per hour (dependent upon experience)
Qualities: Reliable, quick learner, positive workplace attitude, willingness to learn new tasks, some flexibility in scheduling would be helpful. Comfort around toddlers. Some physical tasks such as bending, lifting, reaching, etc. required.
No prior experience required! All training will be paid. Following a three-month probation period, job becomes permanent and will include bonus in salary.
Ideal position: for a university/college student or a creative person (e.g. I’ve very successfully hired many artists, actors, writers, and even a pirate! 🏴☠️). In others words, those looking to acquire regular paid hours without the burden of a full-time job.
