A quick note regarding evening availability.
I am not currently accepting new evening patients for general practice appointments, and some of my evening availability remains offline for booking.

I will be taking some downtime this summer and my upcoming vacation dates are

Reflecting on this weekend at the 15th annual conference. I am incredibly grateful to have been part of such a meaningful and supportive environment. Thank you to Kari for inviting me to present. Another thank you goes to the for sponsoring my presentation, self care tools for partitioners and the morning stretch & strengthen.

It is not often that you encounter a professional space so deeply rooted in compassion, respect, and genuine care for one another. In many areas of healthcare, there can be an undercurrent of competition or division. However, this experience highlighted something entirely different. The level of camaraderie and collaboration among practitioners was wonderful.

It was an honour to contribute to and learn from a community that actively prioritizes connection, support, and clinical excellence.

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and for having me. It was a privilege to be a part of this conference and to get to enjoy this beautiful scenery. 🧠🦷🪥

2025 Clinical Year Wrapped 🤍

2025 was a year of meaningful clinical growth, reflection, and continued learning. A year spent refining assessments, deepening clinical reasoning, and evolving how I support patients through thoughtful, evidence informed care.

This year challenged me to look closer and stay curious, integrating new knowledge into practice while strengthening the foundations that guide my work. From complex presentations to long-term management, each interaction reinforced the importance of individualized care and collaborative thinking.

I’m deeply grateful to every patient who trusted me with their care and to the colleagues and educators who continue to shape how I practice. This work is dynamic, humbling, and deeply rewarding and I’m proud of the growth that 2025 brought.

Moving into 2026 grounded, grateful, and with the mindset of refining my clinical focus and professional boundaries. All with intention, clarity, and a commitment to sustainable, high-quality health care.

As we enter the final month of the year, I want to share a brief clinic update and extend my gratitude for another wonderful treatment year:

• 📅 Fully booked: I am now fully booked for the remainder of the year, and my online availability has been taken offline.

✨ New Clinically Focused Treatment✨

I’m now offering RMT treatments specific for:

These areas can play a big role in how we speak, swallow, breathe, and feel day-to-day. When the muscles of the neck, jaw, tongue, or throat are working overtime, things like speaking, singing, or even mealtimes can become more effortful than they should be.

Treatment focuses on reducing tension, improving mobility, and supporting more efficient and comfortable function — whether you’re experiencing voice fatigue, oral myofunctional concerns, a persistent “lump in the throat” feeling, difficulty swallowing, pre/post-tongue-tie release, or post-surgical changes.

After years of working with patients navigating tongue tie and oral restrictions, it’s finally my turn in the chair. It’s my FRENECTOMY DAY! 🤪👅

It’s humbling (and refreshing) to swap practitioner shoes for the patient chair because lived experience adds depth to the evidence we rely on every day 📚

From a clinical lens, the research is compelling. In adults, addressing tethered oral tissues can:
✨Reduce chronic neck and jaw tension
✨Improve tongue mobility and oral function
✨Positively influence airway health and breathing efficiency
✨Support posture and reduce compensatory muscle patterns

From a personal lens, I’m curious to see if I’ll feel less strain in my neck and jaw, more ease with breathing and speaking. And hey…if this also makes me a world class whistler or finally helps me perfect my Spanish rolling R’s, that’s just bonus points. 😉

Not everyone needs a frenectomy, but for those who may benefit, proper assessment and collaboration with qualified professionals such as dentists, myofunctional therapists, RMTs, SLPs, physios, etc. is key. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution… it’s about finding the right fit for the right patient.

I’ve been fortunate to learn alongside and be treated by amazing professionals such as Kari Slade who has guided me through the myofunctional side of this journey with so much expertise and care. I am looking forward to having the incredibly talented and knowledgeable perform my procedure today.
